Im going to presume by less angle, you mean the truck glass and it's closer to perpendicular orientation to the direction of movement compared to my old Mazda 3 (b/c that's the only way I can see you trying to make a point here) and by that analogy I might tend to agree. But by that same token, at rest, the truck glass should have more water bead off and run down than my old car's closer to parallel glass (what should actually be considered "less angled") and this isn't the case. The Mazda's glass was superior in this scenario too. But we're all just ignorant truck junkies... (minus 1 of course).

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
There may be better products out there but I use sprayway glass cleaner [IMG] and follow with Green Earth Technologies hydrophobic [IMG] that I spray onto the glass and while wearing a rubber glove I work the product into the glass. The heat of your hand dries the product into the glass and leaves zero waste (unlike tossing paper towels full of product into the garbage) It works for me

I started using the Rain-X washer fluid about 5 years ago and never looked back. Good stuff. After using the Rain-X for a while you'll find that often you don't have to turn your wipers on at all. The rain just beads and runs off quickly.

Rainx is just a form of silicone in an alcohol solvent, from what I've hear. Since I heard that (some 10 years ago), I use $3.00 spray can of silicone. I spray it down including the wipers at night. then, in morning, I just run the wipers. I like that the silicone keeps the rubber "seasoned". It works for about 2 months. it's cheaper than rainx, seems to work about as well, and keeps my rubber wipers conditioned. Last wiper I bought for my car was a pair of bosch, 4 years ago. I was surprised the wipers lasted that long in northeast PA and it seemed like an unanticipated side effect to me. Guess I'll see how long the bosch wipers last on the 3rd gen with silicone spray every few months. But I do like it on the glass. It's better than the rainx because I don't have to worry about where that de-natured alcohol gets sprayed. Once a year I use a glass scrub just to take any buildup that's on there. I like the silicone before a freezing rain. get a good amount on the blades and it's good to go. Keeps that black plastic part nice and shiny too. I'm sure there's better. I just always have silicone spray in the basement.

I like RainX for all the glass other than the windshield, it just never reacts right on the windshield and makes the wipers skip badly.

another reason for silicone spray on the glass for me. Right now, the brand of choice is PBlaster because it was on sale at home depot. makes the wiper glide across the windshield.

any buffing out or rubbing out to get rid of excess/ haze? (I'm a big stickler for perfectly clear glass especially in the glare of sun)

I never use rain x, I don't like the film it leaves.. I just wash the wind shield, then take a razor to it while its wet with window cleaner, wipe off with a micro fiber towel, then clay bar it using window cleaner for lubrication, then microfiber towel it off. Makes it ultra clean and smooth which would probably help repel some of that sticky water.. idk my .02

seems some are impatient with applying rain x. if you do it right it will never leave any kind of residue or glare, and it won't cause grabbing of the blades... unless maybe you don't buff out the excess. if you apply it right you'd never know you have it, aside from its performance.

Get the rainX wash fluid instead the straight up stuff. To me it works much better plus you don't have to apply it.

I have used it on three cars for the past three years. I have NO problem with film. I love the stuff.

Good stuff, works as advertised. At one time it was available through NAPA, however I'm not sure if it still is.

I just use EagleOne Nanowax to treat and RainX in the reservoir.
IMO, the biggest thing is getting it clean, clean, clean. I use an EagleOne prep mitt for this.
It's no different than the lack of beading on paint with contaminants.

It gets hazy. If I spray it on the night before it rains. the rain takes care of the haze.

in the summer, I spray it on, let it drip down to the blades and dry. On the truck, I just run the windshield wiper and fluid and it's crystal clear. on the car, after it dries I wipe it down with a damp towel. I let it drip down since there maybe some petroleum based carrier, but that should vape out by the time the silicone drips down to the rubber wiper blades.

the main upside to the silicone is no ice buildup I have to scrape in the morning. I ocassionally have just a few frozen drops that come right off with the wiper.

I use Aerolon Tech Shine after every wash on my whole truck! It was designed for aircraft and boats for aero dynamics to reduce drag. Takes 5 minutes after you wash to apply and it's better than any wax out there imo. What's good about it also helps repel water on glass . Amazing stuff and easy to apply. After it rains and the truck dries there are no water spots anywhere, glass paint and trim look shiny as if it never rained.

Had the same problem. I always wax all my windows with car wax and the water beads right off

I'm actually a huge fan of eagle one wash and wax products. I finally got a chance to clean up "Tori" (Victoria, what I've named her). After a healthy wash and wax, I used a little rainx on the glass. Between nanowax of eagle one and the rainx, my glass has been much better! Trying get rid of the stock washer fluid. Think it's just cheap windex or some cheap crap. Waiting to fill it with rainx fluid.
