What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Turns out the artwork that was sent to me is the AR15.com logo, which they like to sue over. In January I'll draw up my own version of the 5.56 BCG. I took the photo down just so I didn't get a bunch of people requesting those exact knobs.

 

Ish, yeah lawsuits are bad. Although they took a Marvel trademark so I don't know how that works.

 

Added Wileydavis' radio knobs



Then wrapped up my 4runner mirror mod with the exception of wiring. This gives you puddle lights, heated mirrors, and blinkers if you didn't already have them.

Oh I do have a question.
1) Are the 4 Runner mirrors bigger in size than the 2gen Taco? Or are they the same?
2) Did u order the switch from Toyota? (do I order Highlander switch as same year as my taco?)
3) Is the heated mirror on a timer? (I have a remote start on my taco so I would like it to turn on for a period amount of time)

Plug and play. Took me 30min to install both. Probably the one of the best upgrades for the money and simplicity.

 

Installed a Cali-Raised bar, just waiting on the Blue Sea fuse block, Mictuning led switch and bussman breaker to come in and get it all wired up.

 

The mirrors are the exact same size. This is what allowed me to reuse my painted cover from my Tacoma mirrors.

This is the switch I used. Thank you for asking that as I forgot to link that in the write up.

The mirrors will be on a timer that is built into the harness from Up2NoGood, but they will still be controlled by the switch. I have a remote start also but I will still need to get in the vehicle and press the button to start the heaters. From what I've heard though it doesn't take very long for them to do their job. Basically by the time you get buckled up and ready to go its already melting away.

 

Mine take till a block or two down the road to clear the mirrors, but it's -30C or so when I get in the truck in the mornings. If I hit the button when I grab the snow brush/ice scraper the mirrors are ready when I am.

 

If this website was around during my college days... I probably wouldn't have made it to graduation.

 

At that cold I'll just stay inside haha
