    Shit on a black truck.
I haven't had an alignment on the truck yet but the turning is kinda shitty. Is it the sway bar that causes it to keep pulling into the turn?

No the alignment will fix that. But you should pull the sway bar anyway ;)

I've been reading about it. Any downside to pulling it?

If you are confident in your driving skills, no. High speed maneuvering is affected but these aren't Porsches

I'll give it a shot once I get it aligned and see what the difference is.

Not really unless you drive like a rally truck racer in the baja 1000. I've even swerved a few times and been fine, some people get nervous. It does feel weird at first but after a few turns I was loving it.

    Icons, probably with 650lb coils.

UCAs or nah? My Icon UCAs were TIGHTTTT for a few days. So much so that after I got it aligned the dude at Firestone recommended I not drive it home. He thought there was a "serious" problem with the steering system.

Icon tubular UCA's. I'm gonna lightly drive on them until Tuesday to get the alignment.

Mine I would turn the wheel one way or the other and it would almost feel like the truck would "fall" that way. Cannot really explain it. Like a binding, almost. Then it wouldn't want to return to center unless I got it started, then it would go.

That sounds exactly like what mine is doing. Have it will just keep turning unless you turn the wheel back to straight.

But then there is no upside to removing it if you don't plan on needing the extra movement of the fronts either.

During an evasive maneuver, the sway bars keep you from loosing control or rolling. Without them, you will realize very quickly their use when that person cuts you off or swerve to avoid that mattress on the highway etc. Consider if the risk of removing them is greater when the only real benefit is when the extra travel is wanted off-road. There is NO benefit on paved road.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Driving in Seattle without my sway bar, I've still yet to roll my truck. High speed turns, dodging cars on the freeway, you name it. It's all your personal driving style.

Now if you want to remove it, I'd recommend upgraded coils.

Yes there is a reason to still remove it, makes for a much smoother ride. Right now when he hits potholes on lets say the passenger side, both sides are affected because they are connected and there isn't enough movement in the links. Removing makes for truly independent suspension and won't affect both sides, just the passenger.

I've had to swerve many times to miss deer or what ever doing highway speeds.. Also had stock rated coils (600lb). Icons typically come with 650's I believe so his suspension is a little stiffer.

Worst comes to worst he puts it back on. Takes 10 minutes to get it off, 4 bolts I think.
