Hey guys, I have a new 2017 trd sport 4x4 v6 DCLB with about 2400 miles on it. I got it brand new with 15 miles and just last night started to hear a weird whistling/hissing kinda noise coming from the front end only when accelerating. Has anyone had this problem or have any idea what it may be? It's pretty annoying as its brand new and I've been babying the thing. I am going to take it to toyota but want to be prepared if they act stupid. I'm not sure if it could be the factory air intake or an exhaust leak? It's just weird because it's brand new and I don't beat on the thing. And we all know these things are not cheap!!

On a side note, I also hear a howling noise from speeds of 35-45 (I've heard the issue on 16's and not sure if it ties to the 17's as well). I think they may have put plugs in that one section, think it was a control arm (sorry not to savvy with truck parts). But I am more so worried about the whistling/hissing noise. Thanks!

Here we go! :bikewheelie:hang on for the ride!

These issues are common and have been discussed in great detail

Your front end whistle is most likely the holes in your control arms.

Yes the rear different howls, even on 17s

The whistling noise could be the High Pressure Fuel Pump. Mine does this on hard acceleration, but not always.

Hmm, it's weird though because I've had it for two months and never heard it. I'll have to try to make a video so it can be heard, I don't know if it's the same thing regarding the whistling/hissing noise but I'll def look into it. thanks for the reply
