A trap for the trap... sort of. One fails and you have a back up. Nice!

Just from all the tips and ideas from everyone here, I feel like I'm super prepared to go to war with these fuckers. Going to buy all sorts of traps and stuff to put all over the damn house! Downstairs, upstairs, attic... If I don't catch them then they must be smarter than me.

 

Or you need a cat. Ozzy is a mighty hunter..

We get mice.every year. I thought it stopped after I filled some of the gaps under the garage door sill with foam, but nope. I use the circular traps inside placed where giblets/ dog cant get them. I use a combo of bait stations and traditional snap traps in the basement/ garage. It's like wack a mole, the more you kill the more there are.

same happened to me but the lil bastards were storing the dog food in the bottom of my stove wen i was on vacation. get home go to cook dinner and my house is loaded with black nasty smoke. was like wat da fuq

peppermint oil on cotton balls works very well for some reason. and it smells good

Good god, spin traps... buckets... glue... shock therapy?? Listen, I battle these assholes every fall and the beginning of winter and have for years. 10 in a week? Amateur hour right there. I get a dozen a night when I first start the war and it goes like that for about a week until they finally get decimated. Oily cheese like cheddar works way better than peanut butter, which I use when I run out of cheese in an emergency, but smoosh the cheese into the little metal catch and they will die every time. Peanut butter they can lick off and not pop the trap or they don't have to struggle with it and it pops but no dead mouse. Need a semi hard cheese, something oily that still stinks a few days later if they don't get it the first night. I never had kids so I don't know how to deal with them, but the dog will only go for it once and it doesn't do any real damage anyway. Even if the kids get into one it won't take a finger off or anything. And you can hear them pop sometimes... it's so satisfying! The first night in fall I start to hear them in the walls, it's like a symphony of death when the traps start popping. I hate those bastards living in my house.

Out of necessity. I've probably killed 40 of them this year, in the course of a few weeks. You'll see the first ones are the smaller ones, the scouts. But you know you are winning the war when the fatties start showing up in the traps. That means the scouts are gone and the alphas actually have to hunt and gather themselves.

 

Gotcha. Can't wait to take the war to them now and win this shit!!!!!!!!!!!!
