That's weird we have StateFarm and we love it and I can't find a better deal any were. They also cover all mods to the trucks as long as I have receipts. Here is our break down and I pay $219 month.
    • Two Tacoma's with full coverage and a $250 deductible
    • One free windshield per year per vehicles.
    • Additional under or uninsured for $500,000.
    • Roadside assistants.
    • Renters insurance with a $100 deductible
    • An $40,000 rider to cover theft of goods in house or auto.
Now we have had the policy since my wife was 18, so about 22 years. We have had three claims over that time and two of them were for hail at the same time. We also have perfect driveling records.

I was with progressive for 5 years and switched to Geico. My premiums were cut in half for the same coverage.

I wouldn't put modified for off-road use as that implies something like a rock crawler not a few mods to a street truck.

Underwood Extreme Penetrator (lehigh bullet) in .380 and 9mm from Glocks, it's their goofy solid bullet that's shaped like a cross at the tip. Ran flawlessly. Accurate. The 9mm may have felt slightly hotter than a normal JHP from my G19. The .380 felt like all other defensive rounds out of the G42. But everything feels super comfortable out of the G42, one of the reasons I like that little pistol so much.
I only fired them at the range against paper and box targets. No gel or anything to guage effectiveness.

About $30 a box compared to the $20 a box I pay for Critical Defense. Best bet for finding it is online. underwoodammo.com currently has 9mm in stock but not .380.
I've never seen it at Walmart or Cabelas, and the range and gunstore I frequent don't carry it either. Luckygunner.com doesn't seem to ever have it. Thus the issue, can almost never find it. Cheaperthandirt.com has some Extreme Defender and Extreme Penetrator in various calibers.

I'm starting to gather that the demographic of 24 year old guy with a modified truck and a WRX isn't all that desirable for any insurer...

On this morning's thoughts with Brandon session...

While i was following one down the canyon...

    2004/5 Lexus GX470 vs 03/05 Chevy Tahoe

Both have v8, Chevy seems less thirsty from mpg that people report.
    Exterior/interior dimensions seem similar
    Same drivetrain, ifs, solid rear

Hold all the Chevy isn't reliable bs, imo the Chevy 5.3 v8 is just as if not more reliable. Interior build quality... Sure the Lexus wins by a little but the Chevy isn't bad.

GX has some annoyances with the very low hanging body panels.

Tahoe doesn't have atrac... Which is a pretty powerful tool. Lockers would have to be added to get similar effect.

Tahoe has selectable 4wd, gx is all time 4wd, which i recently realized and am not too interested in.

    Tahoe has diesel swap options.

Tahoe is cheaper to get into.

That's what I pay through usaa, but I'm also know the highest insurance bracket because of age and I lost my license at one point. That's with two cars, and rental.

Is you were to get a Chevy, why would let it be a tahoe :puke:
I'd trust a Chevy truck as long as you don't mind having anything electrical break.

Have had a 5.3l Tahoe and Silverado already. Both higher mileage, sold at 206k and 163k. Only issue was prior neglect by PO of Tahoe (bought on eBay sight unseen), and a $15 emissions thing on the Silverado.

Oh, both had a steering wheel shimmy that developed that was easily fixed... The same steering wheel shimmy that Toyota said was OK on the Tacoma with 6 miles on it.

i liked my GX but you need to do something about the rear suspension asap for it to be a decent trail rig. The low hanging plastic is also annoying but it'll eventually self clear if you dont mind that.

Sometimes, i wish i bought another GX when the taco interior feels small but ultimately I enjoy having a bed/pickup

I had a Sierra and liked it okay. It was non stop electrical issues. I lived with having to smack the dash and kick the bottom to get certain things working. I'm also getting at the fact that a Tahoe looks like a beached whale mommy mobile designed by a blind man....but you own a 2nd gen so you'll love it
