To be honest it doesn't look like he's gonna be able to make it through. Also, is a locker really that effective in snow?

That's avalanche peeps. Small slide but partially buried. 4wd doesn't matter if you're under 20 feet of concrete snow. We have some bits of mountain highway here that slide closed from time to time. Right now Colorado avalanche danger is crazy high. And a big storm is on the way. Has to do with what the basis of the snowpack looks like. Snow density varies. When it's really cold the snow is like goose down. We got a bunch of goose down, then wetter snow fell on top of that. Once it starts to slide the goose down acts like a lubricant. The amount of energy in a big slide is huge.

So to me, not a really funny photo. Looks like danger. A small slide can be followed by a larger slide. If I was in that Taco, I might have grabbed a coat and insisted that all my passengers follow me out and run away. But I would know if the conditions were that volatile.

That there has nothing to do with tires or lockers or transmissions. That's mother nature spelling it out.

I grew up on the end of that highway that stops at the 101 and it's exceedingly rare for conditions like that on the Coast Range, at least.

Was that on the pass over by Mt. Washington on the way to Redmond?
