Well, it's for sure, it's definitely not one or two people, it's a group that have this issue

Sad to report, but after starting a new job with rough roads on the commute, mine have started badly jiggling/wiggling when hitting bumps or rough patches in the road.

    It is very annoying.

I've went through 3 bulbs now (replaced with the warranty) and they all did this when hitting bumps, so it's likely not the bulb that is the cause, but the headlight housing itself.

ETA - using the OEM seals, I was not aware there were "enhanced seals" available. How do I get my hands on those? I'd like to see how much they help.

My 35w 5500k HID kit showed up today.

Gotta say, the packaging is well done. It feels like a high end product.

Can't wait to get it on the truck! Gotta get the truck first.. should be on the dealer lot this week..

Some people go through the fender. I simply removed the grill and everything was right there. I created a write up somewhere in this thread on my experience.

Review on mine and input on bounce.

    Kit: 5500k with 55w ballast.

Light output is great enough for me, i can light up a 3-4 lane highway driving at night. Tacoma projector has a nice cut off not as great as hid projector, but does the job. have not gotten any high beams from other drivers, truck is stock height.

These bulbs do bounce, if you live in the city and drive a lot on smooth pavement you won't notice it much. If you hunt/fish and or live rural areas where you travel on gravel roads, it will bounce pretty bad and very easy to see.

I believe the issue is with the actual mechanism inside the bulb that has to be flexing side to side, as there is definitely no movement on the bulb itself using the very tight seal grommet.

I would suggest staying away until they decide to look into this or if you don't drive much on uneven surfaces it will be tolerable.

That's maybe why the 4500's are not giving the same problem. THANK YOU for writing this up.

I think thats correct. I havent seen or heard of anyone with the 4500K bulbs having this issue including myself. I purposely drove on hard and constant bumps (on road) and drove on the rumble strips as well. Only movement was the whole cut off moving from obviously the truck going up and down, not the bulb itself

I went through the fender, but the through the grill method looks much easier.

I just installed my 35w 5500 kit. Super easy install, took about 45 minutes. I ended up just putting the amps on the plastic air-dam piece with a couple screws and zip ties. I'm looking forward to tonight to test them out.

If this was the case I feel like others would be reporting the problem. The bulbs themselves are likely used across all H11B applications right? TRS has said no one else is having this problem. I guess we have to take them at their word on that.

Would be nice to get to the bottom of it. I have a set of 5500K kits for my TRDOR that I haven't gotten around to installing yet, but at this point I'm already set up for disappointment. :annoyed:

A few of us reported it very early in the thread which is why they changed the grommets

I have the HID Xenon with 4300K CN-Light Ball bulbs and have had no issues or light bounce.

Yes, and thanks for that! I was more referring to other vehicle types. If more than just us were reporting it, TRS might be willing to investigate this further. I think they're ignoring it at this point.
