Guess I'm too young to remember (31), but that blows my mind! I'm assuming rear bumpers weren't a requirement in japan back in the 80s?

I still think that is one of the best looking body style trucks ever built.

A buddy of mine had a 1985 model with solid axles front and rear, 22R with EFI.

Awesome truck, but unfortunately the bed seemed to start rusting at the seams after the first rain storm.

Still love those and the same generation 4runners as well.

Vehicles sold in a country has to follow that country's rules (in this case USA). Laws of originating country are irrelevant.

As someone who's lived in MI most of my life and has visited CA, AZ ,NV a dozen+ times for work and leisure it still blows my mind how completely polar opposite LA is to life in the great lakes region. I won't say it's better or worse just very different in many ways. (culture, weather, auto industries, population density, etc.) I'd recommend going there at least once.

People in their Spykers and Fiskers living in a bubble inside the LA bubble...

    I believe it.

I was in OC during thanksgiving visiting some friends. I had enough of it driving through HB-Newport, can only imagine how ass backwards parts of LA are.

Not sure what you consider hot. Houston/Miami in summer is hot and muggy (nasty). Phoenix in the summer is very hot.

Where I live, the hottest summer month gets to 82F. Nothing as hot as Dubai.

Not encouraging you to come, just providing some facts :)

It's not hot in coastal LA area unless the santa ana winds are kicking during the fall. I'll take IE CA or Phoenix 110°+ heat over Orlando Florida in August. In my early teen years my parents used to ship me off to visit the grand parents in Groveland, FL during the summer. The humidity down there is unbearable, idk how people deal with it.
