What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Swapped my 07 sport wheels for a set of 16 sport wheels.

 

Looks Super Clean!

 

Put in my LED back up bulbs. Now I can see behind me at night. Which is nice.

Are they bright? Is The natural white light super white like a led bulb?

 

To tell you the truth, I haven't had a chance to do a proper comparison. I had some time to kill after work last night so I threw them in.
I don't have a backup cam so it's hard to tell if there's a major difference.

Natural light is 5000˚K CCT. That's basically daylight. LEDs can run the entire visual spectrum (and even outside that in the UV/IR range) but most companies rate them as such:

3000-ish˚K CCT = "Warm" light, resembling incandescent bulbs that have a "orange-ish" hue (what was stock)
4000-ish˚K CCT = "Daylight", or "natural" like a cloudless day
6000-ish˚K CCT = "Cool" light, or more blue-ish

Cooler light tends to appear more "defined" or "sharp" to the human eye. That's why you see a lot of places that have task lighting usually go for cooler light but when you're at home you are more inclined to feel "comfortable" in warm light or lower CCT.



I work for a lighting company, in sales and marketing. I can tell you a lot of stuff about LEDs, CFLs, Edison Bulbs, blahblahblah which would probably be good since I'm technically on the clock right now...

 

Ok yeah the oil can freeze but not all the way enough to stop the clutch from coming back up that gets brick hard till truck warm

 

I just installed Hondo Garage HU knobs,super easy install,sooo much better than stock. Did my 30,000mi. Service,all new fluids,rotate tires,happy taco.

 

DANG! Seems like all of a sudden everyone is getting those knobs. Ordered myself a set yesterday. Can't wait to get them.

His website lists them for the 3rd gen only. Will these fit a 2015, with Nav, non-JBL? Seems to be varying answers in his thread on the 3rd gen forum.

I didnt know I needed these untill I saw them lol
