Not going to do much off-roading. Looking for a couple suggestions on a 275/70/17r daily driver

My suggestion is don't, lol. 265/70/17 has more options, including more C load options which will mean better gas mileage and a softer ride. If you want big tires just go 33s. I get ~15 mpg in the city on my 275 KO2s. Pretty much wish I had just gone with 285s.

I'm definitely not worried about taking a little bit of a hit, just don't want to drop like 5 or 6 MPGs for bigger tires. I'm really not sure what the drop off is compared to stock.

It varies. I went from 18 in the city to 15. Highway from 21 to 19. Honestly I was a little surprised by the change, its a bit more drastic than when i went from 32s to 34s on my old FJ. Oh well, it sucks but MPGs aren't a big concern for me. Your mileage will likely be a little better, my daily commute is only 4 miles each way.

My main complaint with my tires is the ride. If you can find a C load I would recommend that.

Those stats were with the 275/70s?

I would stick with 265s or go to 285s. I wish I did not put 275s on. Thinking of returning them for 34x10.50x17.

Doesn't matter the question, the answer is always KO2. Best tire on gas, KO2. Best tire in mud, KO2. Best snow tire, not a snow tire like the Bridgestone Blizzak but KO2's. Best tire on the street, KO2 all day.

In all seriousness, need more info, are you looking for something that has a little aggressiveness for looks but is more street oriented or just a strictly street tire? Price matters too. Michelin AT2 is expensive but a good choice I hear for a street AT. Their LTX I hear awesome things about but that is more street. Cooper AT3's are great and much cheaper and highly rated for an AT. Just depends on your price and if you want an AT (in that case go less aggressive for better mpg and road manners) or a street tire or a less aggressive AT. The more street the tire the better it will be compared to AT tires so fill us in first...

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Just don't want to take a big loss on gas mileage.

Yes those stats were with 275s. Also I am running KO2s. I went with them only because they were in stock and were about $40 cheaper per tire than the ST Maxx. I ran the original KOs for 35K miles and did not like them and I honestly feel the KO2s are the exact same. I'm under impressed by them. We've had some light snow the last two weeks and the have slipped around quite a bit. They're fairly stiff around town. They're noisier after 1000 miles than my old trail grapplers were after 5000 miles. Basically I'll run them for a while just because I know it would be difficult to sell them, but once they're off the truck I wont be trying KOs again.

I'm in southern Louisiana. Only seen snow twice in my life, lol. More worried about the street ride, MPG, and looks

    Is always 255/75R17.

Been running Duratracs in that size for a little over a year.
