Good evening semicentennial's. Been snowing all day but small flakes because it has been cold. Up to 11 above and climbing, snow is supposed to start getting heavy soon and continue. Used to have a T-shirt in Hawaii that read just another shitty day in paradise. Now where the hell is that shirt...

My eyes! Not sure they will ever be the same again. Guess that is the soprano version of Elvis. Now I need a drink, Thanks Andy, I think! Started an on line course for Lightroom and Photoshop Creative Cloud tonight not sure having a drink will help though.

To the Edit, took me a lot of years once I moved here to stop asking for sweet tea. They ain't got a clue.. Not that I should drink it anymore but I sure do miss it.

Let that oak freeze up, at zero and below it splits like butter with a splitting maul or wedge and sledge. Even with all the knots in it.

Lot of trees around me and once it gets cold enough the sap starts to freeze and teens below zero they start to crack and pop. Even the house will in the attic with the wood framing, sounds like an explosion. Will be hearing a lot of it tomorrow night.

I got a maul. Sharp as hell. We'll be burning all day Sunday.
I looked at woodstoves. Tractor supply has an online sale. I'm looking into removing raised fireplace and turning it into an alcove for a wood stove with blower.

Well missed your degenerative ass also!

Yeah CDC tries their best with the flu shots each year. Always behind though but they try the best they can. I have to get one by December of each year or I have to take administrative leave without pay unless I have moral or religious believe against it. Usually in SD hunting when they do the mass rollout which is a good time to do a mass conflagration test or what ever civilians call it. So get emails saying get it done or don't show up to work without pay. I get the shot normally at the last minute because I'm not around and no complaints. Years ago Dr. Plummer at Mayo Clinic realized that venting air from the inside of the hospitals and clinics to the top of the buildings and letting the viruses and bacteria fall usually killed most of them. Especially when it is extremely cold, which doesn't seem to be a problem here.
