That sucks man. Sorry to hear. And for the cost they would charge just go get an AAL and save the cost difference.

That dealer will never see a dime out of me...Ever. If it were the last dealer in Houston, I'd go to Oklahoma to get a new one.

Keep trying different dealers. The one who did mine isn't where I bought it. Get a list/map of Toyota dealers in your area and keep trying.

Not sure but still doesn't hurt to try. I'd think it would be ip to each dealers' service manager. It's work for them and I would think that they'd want to do warranty work. The pedal thing may be keeping them busy at the moment though. But I've heard of guys with the extended warranty getting it done.

If calling doesn't work drive there and ask. It's much easier for them to say no over the phone. Have tsb copy and extended warranty in hand.

In a nut shell: I bought a used 2001 chevy the day I took it home It started to over heat since I didn't put anything down I decided to take it back (you have 72 hrs to do this) after a while of pretty much argueing w/them they said fine. The NEXT morning I found the truck in my drive way! w/the doors locked they where trying to leave the truck w/me. I called my uncle who is a police officer about the situation and he called them and warned them if they didn't take back the truck he was gonna get the DA involved and we were gonna take legal action, adda adda adda. There crooks this was the champion off of hwy 6 the ass hole salesmen was named oscar.

So they didn't think you'd notice 3 tons of metal sitting in your driveway?

WOW....makes me feel fortunate that i have an awsome toyota dealership withing 5 miles from my home.

I already had my lift kit installed, full coil-overs and full leafs in the truck.

told them that i came in before i did the lift this and wanted the TSB done but 2008 wanst listed at the time. even though it was the same exact truck and it was gonna be listed in a month or so.

needless to say. it didnt take much arguing. i had the stock parts, and traded them for the TSB parts...sold them..and made a little money back from my lift.

its about time somebody beats the dealership haha

Hi all. I've been out of town for a while and didn't see this thread until just now.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm now on my 3rd Toyota pickup. I bought this one because of my previous experience with excellent Toyota quality and dealership after-sale service. My last one was a 2000 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4wd and I loved it. My current one is a 2009 (Same equipment). I have noticed a substantial difference in quality. My '09 does not even come close to the quality of my 2000. Just yesterday I took it to the dealer from whom I purchased it for its first 5000 mile service and a very minor warranty issue (Which they didn't do anything about). All I can say is, that experience made me so frustrated that I will never take the truck back to them (Or any other Toyota dealer) unless it is for a factory recall or warranty issue. Even with a warranty issue, if I can fix it myself, I will. As far a warranty goes, I never buy the extended warranty because everyone I know who has, has had trouble when it came time to use it.

My current feelings toward Toyota is that they have become "Americanized" and now are no different and certainly no better than GM, Ford or Chrysler when it comes to product quality and/or dealer after-sale service. Unless there are some major changes at Toyota, when it comes time to replace this truck, I will probably be looking at something other than Toyota.

    Just my humble opine.

    Norm.
