Nice, I have been eyeballing those Atlas bipods for a while to put on my AR-10 but was hesitant because of the price. Don't mind jumping in at this price though, just bought one. Now I need a small M-Lok rail to mount, do you think a 3 slot will be big enough?

Sure! The bipod mount is about an inch and half long. This is my 3rd one. I did end up grinding the swival ledge off, because i just thought it made for more solid base.

No, it's called counterfeit. If you don't want to pay for an Atlas, get the Harris S-BRM.

These work just fine and are very robust. why waste the money on a Harris eather. That's just throwing your cash away. It's a damn bipod, it doesn't need to cost $200 plus. If someone want to throw there money away, that's fine with me. But I would rather spend it on things that ARE important on the rifle like scopes and rings and such! Just saying!!!

I'm surprised you feel this way. If you want to select gear in this fashion, that's fine, but I can't condone recommending that others follow your lead on this. Aside from the ethical standpoint of counterfeiting, buying questionable gear with little to no QA, QC, and product support isn't a good idea. Not to mention the bipod is used as the support for actual shooting, which means how it functions is going to be detrimental (or beneficial) to accuracy.

I agree that investing in a scope and rings should be prioritized, but $100 for a Harris or $200-300 for an Atlas isn't much compared to the $2K-$3K put into the rifle and the $3K-$4K already put into the optics system.

ITS A FREEKEN BIPOD! If it was shoddy quality and sketchy, I would agree with you. But they are robust and in the end it's two sticks holding your Gn up, either it works or it doesn't work,

I run my equipment pretty hard, I've seen cheap equipment fail. I know I just shoot in matches, but I can appreciate quality stuff. "I'm too poor to buy cheap things."(my saying) I've learned the hard way. In long range precision shooting, it is an expensive sport and I understand trying to save money. Bi pod's prolly don't matter too much, but about being counterfeit, I rather not buy them. I met Kasey (Atlas bi pods)at sniper's hide match in Colorado and he supports the sport. He stands by his products, I'll support that.

    EDIT:
My friend has a knock off Atlas. And I've had my Atlas for 3-4 years now. There is a difference and I see and feel it.

A bipod just doesn't hold your gun up. You're using it for a support when you shoot. How that rifle behaves at is fires and recoils is going to be affected by the bipod. Granted, the shooter's ability to control the bipod itself (e.g. pre-loading, bounce, etc) is a factor, but if the bipod itself doesn't secure properly, isn't rigid, etc, this will translate into the rifle itself.

You're probably a better bipod shooter than I am. I will admit that I shot with a sling for a long time and I shoot more accurately that way, but I know full well that bipod shooting has a lot of nuances that most people don't think about. Go to your local F-Class match and you'll get an idea of all the 'gaming' people do in F-T/R.

Don't dismiss the important of the quality of a piece of equipment you attach to your rifle, including a bipod.

As you should, for 7 times the price. For High-end set ups and competition shooters, yes it totally makes sense to go best equipment on everything. I am speaking to the every day shooter

I really didn't think I had to explain it, those that need better or want better, simply bye better. I was giving a solution to those that don't want to spend as much and have something without the springs. I guess I should have made that a disclaimer right from the beginning

My personal favorite, Springfield M1A. It weight 10lbs but it's worth it. Also my Grizzly Mark I .45 Win.Mag hand cannon.

Heavy is stable, there isn't anything wrong with that.

That is true. But then, my Grizzly weighs in at just over 3lbs unloaded.
