I can't remember who runs the feeding grounds but probably the Fish and Wildlife service. One of those low level jobs that is kinda cool but still sucks more than it is cool .

Got my parts in though finally to do a refresh on the front end. Will do timing belt in the spring.

just cold. Oil in the shocks is damn near froze.

Don't use the E brake man. It'll freeze the drum brakes. Trust me..experience speaking. just park it in gear.

A-mazing. Ty and I just got done terrorizing some snowy back roads. A solid 1-2 feet of snow in some spots. Cold as hell.

Activities included saving Shamoo aka a lifted long bed double cab chevy with a blown tranny.

Ty managed to pull the turd about a 1/4 mile back through our broken trail, then back onto the main road, and all the way back to town.

If when you released the brake it felt loose, either the cable is frozen somewhere or yes the ice build up on the leafs could be doing it.

And what? You don't believe the temperature effects oil viscosity???

Im seriously starting to doubt you're and engineer man....

ha!! awesome! we don't have that much snow here.

soon i will join you on these adventures!

    be fun!

Need to get Frank up to standard too.

Well im here to say that anything below 20º is going to change the viscosity a lot.

Shock oil is made to deal with high temps, not low temps.

well you felt it. So yes..its significant. Ice on the coils is not going to affect it that much as the ice will break off. Sure their will be ice on the coils but not enough to bind them.

Though if your in temps like i am right now im sure the steel reacts a bit differently, but not as much as the oil in the shocks.

But whatever you thick headed dope :D i tired.

if the shocks where wore out...it would bounce going over bumps.

    Which im told it does..

Oil density is linear as temp drops but viscosity is exponential I think. My shocks feel like rocks when temps dip to - digits...

Haha well they warm up quick enough if using them to not care it just gets annoying to deal with on those cold morning drives to work. I park in the garage usually and it stays in the 20's in there even if it's below 0
