Labs have tons of health issues, lets talk hip dysplasia to start with....

The designer breeds are NOT always hypoallergenic. I posted a link before to the designer of them and he has huge regrets. Original intent was to create a hypoallergenic dog but that has not been the case every time. It is a crap shoot. They are still mutts no matter how you cut it slice it or dice it. It is hard enough with a long history of genetic testing on proven dog lines like labs to not have dysplasia or even issues with teeth. But is really hard to beat the temperament of most labs. Very hard.

I remember reading that story, few are hypoallergenic but are still sold that way. GS have hip dysplasia as well, didnt know it was a problem for labs also.

Maybe I will just get a tiny dog and a murse.

I miss my GS - had her put down in'99. Her hips and back were bad :( she was in lots of pain, poor baby. Wanted a Rottie instead of Zoi, but they get too big - little did I know how big she'd get

Didn't know it was an issue with labs :pout: Hopefully it won't affect Zoie. Next dog will definitely be smaller :anonymous: The big ones are getting close to me not being able to handle them :anonymous:

LOL at the murse. When I had my Dodge Dakota I started to notice that a lot of "old" men were driving them. And had a small dog on their lap as they were going down the road. My thought at the time was if I ever get to that point just shoot me. Wait I was driving a truck that couldn't get out of its own way what was I thinking?!

Jamie Como of Vermilion Tollers was a breeder for Tollers and had a huge impact in a positive way for many years, I've known him for a long time. At the National Specialty for NSDTR-USA last year one morning I took the dog out and he had a small enclosed fenced area in the front of the hotel with a couple of lapdogs in it, with his Tollers staked out around it of course. I greeted him and made a comment about the tiny lapdogs. He smiled and said yes he still loved his Tollers and always will. And said but having one of those little lap dogs love him was beyond description. He passed away a couple of months ago and is missed by many.

Mike, do you have a Keurig machine? If you do, I really like the Lipton Sweet Tea K-cups ... 8 oz thru them over ice in a 16 oz tumbler ... Only 50 cals each cup too. It ain't my Grandma's Sweet Tea, but at 50 cals it's pretty darn good. 'Bout all I drink anymore is that, coffee, milk, and water. :notsure:

 I knew that darn pup was too damn cute.
Going to work ... Time to get ready now. :hattip:

LOL no thanks, got plenty around here! Pizza delivery has already started to the fishing ice houses, or shacks in some cases.

Not everyone can afford an ice shanty though. Worlds largest ice fishing contest is in Brainard Mn. Couple of years ago it was -40F but didn't slow up the participants

No I don't but really should. I have a Bunn and make a full pot every morning. To drink 2 cups and dump the rest out. Thanks Rob! Been debating getting one it would make a lot of sense. Now it makes even more sense...

    Good night and sleep well!
