Haha my ex is my ex partly because he refused to get me anything from Tiffanys when we were together. Just sayin...

 

i set the bar low for myself up front and my wife still agreed to marry me. Now, if I go do something like that, it's a really big deal so it can either cover up one of my blunders or get me some major brownie points. If you start looking it high, they just expect you to keep outdoing yourself.

Not really but it depends. If you went to Tiffanys than yes. You really do pay for the name. I went to as my wife likes to call them "my diamond people" from the jewelers building in Boston

I kinda did the same thing with my wife (at least at 1st). Cheap promise ring at 1st then the nice engagement ring when I could take my time and I could afford it

 

I guess I'm the only one here that keeps them as pets.

This is the first year in a while I've been completely single, so I guess I get to save a few bucks this year. Last year I bought my ex's sister a car.

I have a friend who works for Tiffanys. Maybe he can get me discounts on diamonds

 

Cupcake is so practical I would get a beating if I spent money on jewelry, Coach bag, that kind of stuff. Good problem to have really as her engagement and wedding rings cost a total of $600

Loaded up on traps at Lowes after getting mini me from daycare. Got a little bit of everything. Already set a few. Going to do more later, before bed time.

2 glue traps under the dish washer (where the fuckers were hoarding the dog food)
1 glue trap in front of the "hole" I saw the fucker go in through this A.M.
2 glue traps under the sink (since the dishwasher hose runs to there, so there is a hole in the "divider")
1 glue trap in the pantry
2 spin traps in the attic
2 wooden mouse traps in the garage
1 wooden mouse trap in "machine room" (has washer and drier, water heater and well pressure tank)
1 wooden trap in room downstairs
2 glue traps downstairs by pellet stove insert, since wife says she saw one go in through there
2 plastic snap traps downstairs

Did I go overboard??!! Yeah, probably. But this is war... all out and guns blazin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Been there, done that. I looked for this year and nothing caught my eye. I'm extremely picky on jewelry, I don't give just to give and she's the type that appreciates it.

Honestly this year I went mainly off her list which she typically isn't the type to make. It's been a crazy few months and typically I have a list of ideas in my head throughout the year and this year I just drew a blank. She has wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee since she was old enough to drive and we made that happen so that's something I can hang my hat on.

 

Sounds like you're catching mice (too lazy to read back) if you are try peppermint oil (the real stuff not the artificial stuff) on cotton balls in the corners of the rooms, the travel points. Mix some in a spray bottle with water and spray the pantry area etc. This also works on spiders as well. My ex had an infestation of mice in her house and within a month they were all gone and the house smelled great too.

Caught one already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got stuck on one of the glue traps downstairs, the one I put by the pellet stove where the wife said she's seem it go in through. Funny what happened. Woke up this morning, she went downstairs to put the dog out. We have a sliding door, so she puts the dog out and them screams and tell me to come down. I go down, the little fucker was stick to the trap and was over by the sliding door. The pellet stove is on one end of the room and the sliding door on the other. He was moving around. HAHAHAHA!

Nothing in the traps upstairs yet though.
