A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping
The way I look at it is if you're a Tacoma addict regardless of what model you own eventually you'll be swapping out parts! Be happy and enjoy the ride! There's always gonna be mods available for guys like us

I dont need any of it. I like the suspension, leather seats, and skid plate. They seem like functional upgrades. I like the wheels compared to the stock wheels too. The rest I could certainly live without. I see your point, though. Its only not a total ripoff if you want or need everything on that list. Thanks.

For almost $40k and then factor mods and you will always ask shouldve i have gotten the pro.

Its not worth it if ur gonna keep it for 10 years or more....its hot in cement

If there were actual engine performance gains yes, but paying almost 50k for a lower power/torque engine that is surrounded by truck technology that is nothing revolutionary is a little absurd to me. Especially when a 4x4 OR, which offers all the same major components, can be had in the mid/upper 30's.

The pro suspension will be junk if you add any weight to your truck. I guess if a guy is going to leave it stock the pro is nice but that's the only way.

Just remember that with the Pro you lose the moonroof and can't get the upgraded JBL stereo. Whether that's important to someone is an individual thing of course. I know some may prefer to not have the moonroof.

Moonroof doesn't matter if you get any kind of a roof rack system or carry any gear up there. That was my thought process when I ordered my Pro (Sept 22 due date). As far as no JBL sound system that was a let down for me especially when it was advertised with it. That being said I've never kept a radio stock in any vehicle I've ever had, plus I've heard the JBL system in a 16 Tacoma and it could be better. Toyota can compete with a lot of stuff, but not aftermarket radio components.

I also read a comment above where the stock suspension will be crap with any weight. The Fox 2.5's are the top of the line shocks and coil overs they make for "stock" set ups. The only thing one would need to upgrade is the leaf springs which from what I've read everyone who runs after market suspension whether it be Icon, King, Olde Man Emu they all upgrade the leaf springs.

Also to the guy who posted the TRD pro is almost 50k then in the same paragraphed posted a Off road is the mid to upper 30's is stretching the truth. Anyone can go on cars.com and see 90% of the pro's are from 41-45, most being 43K.

That was the dealbreaker for me when I needed a new truck. I had transportation for the summer after my '13 was totaled and I thought about just getting a Pro 6MT and selling the OEM wheels/tires instead of going through the BS of doing a lift, ECGS fix, etc to get the truck set up how I wanted it, but finding out about the lack of sunroof was a dealbreaker. I'm shocked they add leather, and delete the roof. I still to this day don't know why they don't offer JBL with the manual. All I can think is that the wiring harness for the auto somehow has provisions for the JBL that the manual doesn't. That doesn't explain the lack of JBL on the Pro. I wonder if there's wires hidden somewhere in the truck where you find them to do a JBL setup.

I like the idea of having a warranty on the front suspension, especially since the front diff is known to rumble when you lift the trucks. Yes, I know you can lift an OR for less (been there, done that).

Do you mind sharing how much you paid for your Pro out-the-door? How much is sales tax where you are from? Thanks.

I'm from Myrtle Beach, SC. I paid 41 out the door, but it would have been 42 if I kept the stock wheels on it. I traded the 16's for the 17's Pro wheels of the 4-runner. FYI in SC the max sales tax that can be on a vehicle is $300 so that helps a lot

Not too shabby! Good job. Sales tax here is 9%. On a truck that is slightly over 43K, that comes out to 47K out the door. Not too far off from the 50K estimate, although I agree that the price difference there was slightly exaggerated.

I think I have decided to save the money and get an OR. Still super jealous of your Pro, though. Please let us know how you like it after you pick it up.

Will do buddy! All that being said I have no room to talk bc I've put way too much money into it already lol.

I'm building it as a overland vehicle and my garage is filled with crap. Plus I'm in a different boat than most. I'm getting married in Oct, so we had the kids talk, 2 years out. Next thing I thought is if I don't get s new truck now I won't get one for a long time. Plus I currently drive a 07 Tacoma TRD sport so it's a big upgrade for me!!!

Oh and as i habe read over a few of these post thought id ad this 2 cents good luck finding a OR without navigation yoid habe to have one ordered to not have tgat as part of the package. as far as the warranty goes o had ny supension done by the people who do the lifts for the dealership i bpught it at and they are honoring my warranty . so after everything is said and dont my OR looks like a wolf next to a sheep next to the trd pro o do want that damn tacoma spprt hood though ans will likely get one sooner or later. heres a pictire of mine next to a tundra so you can s÷ the difference. all and all i put 6 grand in it drove it straight to the loft place from the dealership.

If the Pro came with a longbed option and QS I would have considered it. Since it doesn't I bought the truck better suited to my needs.

    Agreed

But since Toyota refuses to sell me lb + 6MT I am ok with sb+bed extender while enjoying my third pedal to keep up with Honda Odysseys:D
