Was debating between bamf vs custom, decided with the latter

Bought the Pro to be different and very AARP tom dick and llouis is ripping off Pro parts. So decided need some other parts on Pro to differentiate. At least for now I have the color , though I am sure guys will start wrapping their trucks cement sooon :)

Gooing wth the white letters like this

Nice, I said the same thing, like why the hell are all of you obsessed with all the pro parts and making your trucks all look the same for the price of aftermarket (usually better) and got nothing but bro hate. Sometimes I miss being a logical 2nd gen owner, different community over there.

Lol, I really wish toyota had made it VIN exclusive like they used to with the Baja's. But I think they realized how much $$$ they can rake in from the bro community selling pro parts at retail. I for one like my truck to be unique, not looking like everybody elses. Thats what makes it such a cool community of enthusiasts. But what do I know.

Don't waste money on the powdercoat. If you're going to use them they will scratch up. Buy 1 can of rustoleum self etching primer. Spray 2 coats on the side that "hugs" the truck. Use the rest of the can (I think I got 3-4 coats) on the side that will take damage. Then buy 2 cans of rustoleum bed liner spray, and I used one can per side. Makes touch ups a lot easier when it gets scratched up.

This is good advice. I got mine powder coated (use rustoleum for touch up). Powdercoat looks nice, but you don't see a skid plate ever, and the powdercoat scratches/chips fairly easy

Stay tuned, big changes to our skid plate designs. They'll be a step above what's out there for a similar cost. Should have them ready to go by the new year and @ramonortiz55 may or may not be running a group buy for the new product launch for potential savings...

What exactly are these changes that make them "a step above what's out there?" Or do we have to wait until they're released to know? I'm having trouble seeing what could make them much better than others? Genuinely curious, not trying to be a dick, you guys produce great work.

I would prefer to wait until the launch. We are going to launch on January 1. It is not something extremely major and unheard of, just a great improvement.

We tested the bejesus out of ours and went out with other members who tested the bejesus out of ours and other brands at Rausch Creek in Pennsylvania at the Toyota Takeover this past summer. Took note of all the weaknesses and are improving off of that.
