my 08 taco didnt come with many options (cd player, AC, and V6 access cab, thats it) and the only thing i really really wish i had was cruise control. does anybody have any idea how expensive and/or complicated it would be if i decided to put it in myself? or how much would the dealership charge to do it all?

It's also listed in the TOC on the cheap/free thread... That also has links to the intermittent wiper install if you want to do that too.

Deaelerships typically don't do after market cruise installations. An speciality shop will do it for about $300 in my area; cheaper with an auto, somehat more for a manual transmission.

True, but the dealer will sell the parts and you can install it yourself.

Has anyone tried the stock cruise control parts on a 2009 model to see if it will work the same as the 2008?

go to the Toyota Nation link in the second post. Lots of info there. It should work for yours. Do you mean 2.7? haha.
