    Majority of people don't hang onto their vehicles that long. Most have vehicle A.D.D.

    But wasn't you post saying you don't understand why folks buy for resale if they keep their vehicle a long time, now you seem to be complaining that folks don't keep the trucks long enough. Guess I don't know what you want to argue.

    Not what I am saying. It is buying for resale value but trading them in sooner rather later. Sorry if it came off differently.

    Look at ZachMX on here...he has an '11, '15, '16, and a '17.

    A lot of my buddy's get a new vehicle every 2-3 years.

    No you were wrong you said a TRD OR 4WD DCSB cost $25k new, it costs $27.6k new even before any options, so you were wrong.

    @ZachMX is a baller :D

    The reason you see Tacoma ,wrx, wranglers traded so often is DUE to high resale. People who don't have car add can still play the game due to the high residuals, without having negative equity

    Don't forget my 00 and 08. Sooner or later you realize buying them new and trading them newer isn't such a bad prospect, though I traded mine for different reasons. My 2011 was an AC 4wd, I came back from a deployment and realized I wanted my dream tacoma a TRD Sport DCLB 4wd so bought the 15, I then grabbed a 16 during the 3rd gen craze which was my Sr5 DCLB 4WD and dealer gave me a killer deal, $31k for my 15 and $32k for new truck, my 17 really wasn't a purchase I wanted to do but was Toyota's solution to a problem riddled 16 on its 2nd diff replacement.

    Far from, single young guy that likes his toys.

    00 was in high school, 08 I bought as an Airman when I got out of the dorms in AZ and was a pre runner, got stationed in NJ and realized I needed 4wd so traded for 11 AC, deployed came back and upgraded to my dream tacoma the 15, then the 16 came out bought a 16 and planned on keeping it but traded with Toyota's help after 2 diff replacements and other issues towards the 17.

    Well, if I am buying a vehicle that I don't expect to keep, resale would be my number one concern. So I buy a vehicle that looses value fast, cost a lot more to trade in. Or I buy one that doesn't lose value fast, makes that trading way easier to handle.

    Hmm.

    Dude... that is FULL blown retail. He used hypothetical numbers. So did I. In reality they sold for 25-26k range.

    Once again... I bought the top of the like 2013 OR. Every option they offered. Paid 27500 out the door. I would bet the avg paid was around 25k.

    Youre argueing just to argue here.

    Okay so lets look at his hypothetical number $36k for a new TRD OR DCSB 4WD he mentioned, thats MSRP "full blown retail" as you put it, so you would compare retail vs retail in 2013, not what you paid or what you think someone else would have etc. I'm not arguing to argue I'm arguing because your argument is invalid and based on hypothetical numbers as well as assumptions "I would bet the avg paid was around 25k". So again you were wrong sorry bud.

    No current TRD OR DCSB 2016. Either way you were wrong you quoted a price that was not the price in 2013, no arguing that you can dance around it all day long with "well I paid this" or "I bet someone paid that too". Fact is a TRD OR DCSB 4WD cost more than $25k new in 2013 as you mentioned. So again yes you were wrong.

    Oh brother... youre not getting this. It WAS the hypothetical paid price in 2013 he posted. I posted the msrp of them in 2013. Yes msrp was 27500. They didnt sell for that.

    How is this hard for you to understand?
