They're probably all made by the same people. They're similar in price

Not unless I had strong feelings against the maker. For example, 5 Finger Death Punch likely never gets another dime from me even if I buy their stuff for someone else

The MK watch was last year's Christmas gift. Macy's had a ridiculous Black Friday deal, it was like $299 normally and I got it for $139.

It could be but most likely it's movement was Chinese instead of the Japanese that would be in a Boulva. Japan make the second best movements behind the Swiss

Quick internet searches and I was half right. MK is made by Fossil in China

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fossil_Group

Bulova is owned by Citizens and made in America

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulova

And I should have said that America AND Japan are both about tied for 2nd best quality behind the Swiss

I know the MK was the watch you wanted but your ex bought you a higher quality watch by getting you the Bulova

Yeah but if someone says "this is the exact watch I want" and they're the same price, why not get the one I like? I don't give a shit about who owns it, or how it's made, I like mk 's style. Most of the watches I own are search and they're cheapies. I just like the style

But I know he didn't get it because of a quality thing. He got it because that's the watch he preferred

He bought me a ton of jewelry when we were together. I wore none of it because it was all stuff he liked, but wasn't my style

I'm stuck here at work bored out of my mind.

Has anyone that has met Billy @BostonBilly seen the new Chevy commercial where the guy at the end of the commercial starts the Camaro. Looks just like him!

That makes complete sense. If it is a total piece of shit I may say so but if that's really what you want, then fine. It's for you first.

I'm at the dealer getting my oil change done and some snot is copping an attitude because she's having a flat repair done and she's been here for exactly the quoted time. They came over to her and she goes you quoted me 45 minutes and it's been 45 minutes.

    Aww, poor baby.

I've been here almost 1.5 hours for an oil change and I had scheduled it. Get over yourself, it's a Saturday and it's busy.

I just do the work myself. When I had my caddy,I let the dealer do the free oil change and car wash. I was there for over 3 hours, and they did a shitty job with the car wash.

One of my tires has a small leak. I'll put on a spare and drop the tire off. Call me when it's ready.

Going to pull the snowblower out strictly because I need to see if it works in snow. I ran it dry and it went pretty good but seeing as I bought it used I need to find out now if it works... Or at least that's how I'm justifying it...

    Hey everyone, how's it going?

Today, I saw a woman in a Nissan Altima stuck in my sisters neighborhood. She was in the middle of a small incline. As I drove by she waved me over to see if I could help. There really wasn't much I could do. I parked the truck, shoveled her out and told her the best way to drive to get up the hill (she got up per my advice).

When I walked into my sisters house I told her the story and she was expecting that I was going to say I helped the lady with my truck.

There really wasn't anything I could do with the Tacoma right? I don't have a winch or anything and I know that I can't just strap on a recovery rope, right? This is the first time my taco has seen more than a dusting of snow. How do you help people with your truck, or is there nothing you can do?

    Also, here she is.

Here's the concern with helping people. You never know what'll happen and these days if you break, say the air dam, they'll want you to pay to fix it. Of course they'll want to use the most expensive body shop with genuine dealer parts. So that $200 aftermarket bolt on air dam end up costing you 3G's...

Edit: shoveling them out is the best course of action.

Exactly. Unless you know the person well that's a huge risk. I'm all for helping others but I'd leave that type of help to a tow truck or some other business who carries insurance against such fuck-ups
