My only real complaint with the truck is the way the motor revs up and down 2 to 300 Rpms when in slow traffic or I a school line. And that is with the A/C off. It's really terrible with it on 500 rpm jumps. Does all your trucks do this? It's the most irritating thing ever to me.

Yes this is normal for my truck as well. Especially when parking, it can be perilous.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Unless you have the entire climate control system off the a/c compressor will still cycle. Even with the a/c off.

Seems like the brake booster makes it rev up and down. Off and on the brakes makes the motor rev up and down. It's crazy it does this

Mine does that also. But I have noticed that Alot of other auto makers do the same thing. Subaru is the worst out of all. Don't Know why these vehicles now have this.

Doesn't the off road run a brake booster off a hydrolic pump?

It may do it and why it does it on and off the brakes.

I would rather the truck idle at 800 900 rpms and stay there rather than jumping from 600 to 1000

My only concern with my truck at 2k is when I'm backing into a parking spot or a garage and it surges a bit.

Not sure what your issue is, every morning I roll in stop and go traffic to the base gates and all I do is apply or release the brake until I roll through the checkpoint. AC is running continuous with no surging at all and the truck has over 12k miles on it.

If its due to your brake booster then something isn't right.

EDIT: Are you running / pulling up with ECT on? I'm not.

Turn climate control completely off and see if "problem" persists

Mine does it too....I'll be sitting there waiting on the garage door to open and it will surge forward.
