I did a little more homework on them, they are retreads. Mixed reviews, some good, some bad, some horror stories. Buy name brand, not worth the risk for the small savings.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
...^^^... Thanks for the info. ....

***I noticed the 2 extra upright posts and that was a great idea for structural rigidity and balance ... those 2 extra braces made it ... that is what first caught my eye ... then the quality manufacturing on the rounded tubing.

I used to be involved in manufacturing fire trucks, military equipment, wierd stuff and etc. and noticed how well that was designed and it looked well built too.

That's all you can look for, as long as they are completely in and locked in than they are installed correctly.

Installed ground lighting under the running boards, one of the best mods so far. Thanks to @mattgecko for the great LED kit, easy installation and lots of light. Wired into the dome light circuit so the light comes on with them and than dims with them also.

Had the truck in for 6 mo/5000 mile service (only at 2500 miles currently). They did the TSB on the transmission. Still drives funky under slow acceleration and cruising speed. But that's the stupid Atkinson cycle so I just leave the ECT Power on. Truck drives fantastic then.

I don't think it's the Atkinson cycle. With the ECT on, the truck does run better - I think the issue is that the throttle sensitivity sucks when the ECT is off. The power is there, but you have to mash the pedal to find it. I run the ECT on all the time and my mileage is unaffected by this. Maybe someday they will give us a proper TSB update on the transmission.

You might be on to something. I actually get a little bit better fuel economy with the ECT on.

Looks fantastic, but you gotta dump that silver bedside decal. @CBoy808 makes any design you want in matte black and it would be the final touch to an already great looking truck.

Haha thanks. I've been debating doing that but I'm not quite sure if I want a stock decal in matte finish or if I want something custom.
