I would be curious how that played out , when we did aggressor stuff with the F15s on the deck they did not fair so well but above 2k they kicked our asses as I was told by an engineer.... The F4 frame was designed to be a lot of things but fast and maneuverable not so much at altitude but close on the deck the positive dihedral wings combined with the negative dihedral tail made it extremely stable. I do know they can take a lot of licks and keep going . Oh and the F18 Marine Drivers we had were assholes in the sand box !! They got their asses chewed for sonic booms over the base they thought it was funny apparently to watch every one heading for bunkers and such. We had patriot batteries around us you can not tell the difference between one of them launching and the F18 boom .

thanks but no thanks i've held enough tactical guns. i may someday get an ar but doubt it. i tried the bdc reticals and i've shot moderate distances. each rifle has a distinct killing purpose. some are antiques, a couple i just got through a family death (brand new in the box never used), and others were primary rifles that have been retired. sold my 300wsm, just didn't like it. current favorite is a browning a-bolt .308 with a leupold 3-9x50 scope.

I like the Tikka they are still a Sako! The Savages have come a long ways, but something about the Tikka and Sako's trip my trigger, so to speak.

The A&P food processing plant in Horseheads, NY was the worlds largest concrete building for many years. It sits empty now I believe. I cut meat for Acme Markets in Towanda, Pa. in the summers when I was in college my aunt in Wellsboro, Pa. got me the job. It was enough to make me join the Navy after a couple of years :)

The Hormel SPAM plant is ~40 miles from me here. No wonder I can't get any scrapple in these parts it all is going to the SPAM plant.

After seeing a 6.5 Jap drop several blacktails in Wa. State back in the early 80's I had a 25-06 made. It was a wildcat back then. 260, 6.5, .250 quarter bores all seem to drop game better than my Mark X 30-06. Or even my 7mm which I reserved for elk. Less recoil also means better shot placement from my experience.

If I can make it I'll cook it. A friend from Pa. comes to a shoot in Wi. each year and brings home made bacon. Somehow I usually end as the chief cook and bottle washer. Well I like to eat too :D

 Not disgusting! It is more a breakfast or even a lunch food.

Hard to believe the Blue Angles fly the Hornet now. It says a lot about the Hornet IMO.

The 6.5 Swede is a very soft shooting round with great dropping power beyond what most people think. The Swedes use it for moose, and are required to shoot at a moving target to get a hunting license. And of course most use the 6.5 Swede.

LOL. When General Sullivan and his troops were fighting against the Indians during the Revolutionary War on the Western Front they had packs of horses to go through the wilderness on their way to the Finger Lakes. On the return journey the horses had reached their end of life, exhausted and worn out killing them was the only humanitarian thing to do. The skulls of the horses were lined along the trail as a warning to the Iroquois Indians, which is how it got its name. They also pulled cannons and occasionally a farmer will pull a cannon ball out of a field. Although being a glacier moraine most grow rocks in the spring.
