Cold air is more dense, engine runs better

 

Its been misting all day. Too hot to hunt even if the wind wasnt blowing 30 mph and wet. I delivered a holster, built a quilt ladder, amd watch some netfilx and youtube. Also made some bomb biscuits if i do say so myself

Dense air also creates more drag and requires more fuel to maintain a 14.7:1 afr.

 

Makes a big difference at the rifle range, especially when practicing longer work.

Well depending on how much he went up in elevation, That may have been enough to offset the cold increasing density otherwise i too am stumped

 

I was actually thinking elevation might play a factor but don't know enough about it to contribute anything lol

 

Better than a work day

 

I was honestly thinking because the more gas being used the lighter it was....making the milage go up 1.5mpg.

That's at an average speed of 61 mph

 

It might in somethin with a really big tank but gas only weighs a little more than 6 lbs per gallon and u only have a 17 gallon tank. So thats gonna be less than 100lbs difference. Not even a passenger weigh difference. It might help but it wouldnt be 5%

Tbh, not even sure how big the tank is on the Rav. When I filled it up before we left this morning I got 10.5 gallons in but it already had just under a quarter tank.

Nah not really. I usually just pass em and create space behind and in front of me so I can roll solo.

Yeah my wife has an 07 with the 2.4 she gets 24-25 driving around home. And will get 27ish runnin 80 on the hwy . 16xxxx miles and runs pretty dang good. Leaks a little oil, bout a quart every 3k miles and the 06 and 07 had a problem with a leaky cowl, i took some black pipe insulation and plugged about half the slits and fuxed that. It would get a wet floor board in a hard rain before.

Probably be my daughters first car in 13 years or so

 

2hrs ago it was 73. Now it's 37.
