That is pretty standard temps for most of Canada in the winter time. Disregard Vancouver Island, Lower mainland and the Okanagon in BC and a few other spots I am forgetting mention. When I grew up on the east coast as a kid we would regularly see -30 to -35 (-22 to -31 Fahrenheit) degrees celsius in the winter (this is not factoring in the wind chill), up north in the arctic when I worked up there it was common to see -40 to -45 celsius (-40 to -49 Fahrenheit) , I've heard and seen photos of thermometers reading with a colder reading, those are not fun times to work in. Nothing works, you don't shut your vehicles down as it ices up everything and the strain on the engine is crazy.

I think i successfully made a "build page". Take a look if you're interested. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/louies-build-2016-trd-off-road-double-cab.417631/
That had me a little confused as well. Must be shadows and angles.

Dropped by Toyota yesterday and told them about how crappy the transmission shifting was on my 2017 TRD Pro, they took it in and did the TSB 0077-16 Rev 1 (released in Nov). To me it drives a 1000% better, no question about it. Actually like a different vehicle. Gas mileage seems to be the same.

Had truck 2 months today. 1500 miles and 4 trips back to the dealer for repairs and I think it's finally all figured out. Glad to get it all taken care of early. This service dept is actually really great..:dancingbacon:

Cyclic vibration issue, dealer replaced needle bearing, worked for 150 miles. They replaced it again with slightly oversized ECGS bushing. Appears to be fixed. Shifting issues, they did revision 1 update. Took it back this last time because clear bra was coming off. Not a fan of the clear bra so far but they use crushed lava rock instead of salt or sand here for icy roads.

Haha, I'm up in Petawawa, Ontario. It's only December, I'm sure it'll get closer to -30c by January. I'm hoping my truck starts when that happens.

Plowed my driveway last night, this morning, tonight, and will have to do again in the morning. I am ready to go to Florida on Wednesday, hopefully! Kemosabe loves to watch. He doesn't like Florida! 20161217_075419.jpg 20161217_080403.jpg 20161217_080411.jpg

Question for everyone because I don't know much about this things ...
I hear people constantly talking about tsb.
Specially people talking about the transmission tsb
Is this something that EVERYONE should do?
I think my truck drives ok but how do I know this ?
I only owned 2 trucks my whole life so I'm not an expert
Should I take it in and ask Toyota ?
I know some of you are prob gonna b like
    "Wtf"
    But I just don't know ...

If you are having any shifting problems, like it's always hunting for the right gear when going up a slight incline, hesitates when going from reverse to drive then yes. Tsb is just a service bulletin. The rev-1 is just a computer upgrade. No problems asking.
