    Definitely gonna do this mod, locked in 4HI would have been ideal this elk hunting season, didn't need low range but was forced to run 4LO in 3rd gear, for wheel speed just to navigate some deep ruts and mud/water

    For me it took quite a while, but I was figuring out how to do it and taking pictures. I'd guess the average guy could do it in a couple of hours, not counting the time it takes to get the relay.

    Took me 45 minutes and i soldered all my connections and shrink wrapped for a super clean install. It is not hard at all.

    It took me a little over an hour, but I was being very careful and checking each step multiple times before I did it. It's really simple and straightforward, I was just overly nervous when it came to cutting the factory harness.

    OK i did the mod. relay works great. locker engaging and disengaging correctly but my 4wd will not engage nor the light and my abs and trac. light stay in after disengaging the locker
    Also the purple wire provides power to the module still and is not bypassed by the relay correct ?
    I think i know where i fd up. when i fix i will report

    I went to an ARB locker but left this mod in place to use as an abs cancel. I can hear the relay make, but nothing happens. No more dash locker light or abs light. Does anyone know if the locker ecu needs to "see" the resistance of the locker motor to work? I just unplugged the harness and zip tied it to the frame.

    I would think that there is some sort of contact switch for the computer to know it has engaged or whatever

    I broke two diffs and didn't understand why at the time. In frustration, I called Currie and ordered a 9" rearend. The real problem was too much axle wrap I think. A trac bar took care of that.
