I think it would have to get WAY below freezing to cause any damage. Just don't start it while there is any chance of it being frozen.

in the winter you drain the water and fill with anti-freeze idk but doubt your racing in the winter anyway, and unless you are racing why use just water the cooling properties of antifreeze are much better anyway

so the whole thing makes no sense to me why not just drain the water and put antifreeze in it for the winter, nobody racing anyway

Couldn't sleep so I got up and went outside to check on my Camaro . My outside temp is showing 28 deg currently I brought with me my laser temp gun to check temps

I got a reading of 25 deg outside my garage and when I opened the door I measured the temp at 34 degrees inside my garage . I pulled the car cover off the front and like you mentioned took a couple of old comforters I've got and placed it over the motor and draped it over both fenders and grill area to trap the cold air from collecting under the Camaro

I think I'm okay but still have an hour before temps outside start warming back up . I'm going to try and start it later on this morning but a milled choke horn and a very cold motor it will be fun to say the least

I think my hood looks good painted just by the pics he's sent me . I'm going over to his place today to look at it myself in person
