    Not even close. Need something for mom and dad both and the thing I got for my brother is defective and need to be replaced but the website hasn't responded to my request for a return. :annoyed: I'm usually done by now...

    What kinda camera are you looking for? Interchangable lens (canon rebel)? Or a simple point and shoot (sony cybershot)?

    Hi folks, here it is, December 18th and I have done nothing at all to get ready for Christmas. I changed jobs in mid October, and have had to split my time between Altoona PA and home since then, I got in last night from the last trip, and have one day off before starting another work week. I'm not complaining, I about doubled my salary, but I'm a bit worn down. Hope everyone has a great Christmas. In other, unrelated news, my son got engaged! I couldn't be happier. He has had some rough times and his future is looking good, which in the end is all we really want for our kids.

    @Susan ,

    Kristi has the T5 version of that and she likes it a lot. I don't know much about it, but the pictures come out nice. She has like two lenses, one for pics of the kids, and another for far off/scenery type. :notsure:

    I got the "i" version because I needed the articulating screen for Astrophotography. I didn't really care about the other options I just did not want to have to get on the ground when the camera was attached to the optic tube assembly of the telescope. The other things as in mega-pixels I tend to find to be overrated, once you get above say 16 how much better does the image increase?
