    IMHO, yes.

My buddy had a cover strap come loose on his FJ and it whipped around hard enough to break his rear window. No bueno.

Yeah. They look rough AF. I don't mind zip ties though. The inner straps that you secure before putting on the cover look kinda rough too. Got plenty of reusable zips, in lots of bright colors. I'm not realllly worried.

After looking at Cam's set up, I have some ideas I'm going to work on come January.

I picked up one of these buddy heaters on sale. I was airing out my tent today and put the heater in to see how it worked. Seemed to heat up in there pretty quick. Anyone else ever use one? How did it work? I know it's not recommend but would take the chill off quick.

I don't understand how people use heaters in them. To keep the heat in you have to shut it all up, but then you get a lot of condensation in the tent :notsure:

I'd say there's a bunch of guys that use it. Just before bed and in the morning before crawling out of your bag.
I've never really had condensation issues, but I also keep the windows about 50% open on the sides.

I did use it all night a couple times and wasn't too worried about it because I had cracked windows and it has a safety shut off. After that though I realized its just not necessary to run it that long.

That looks like an issue with the bolts holding the rails to the bottom of the tent (loose), not how it's attached to the truck. Check to make sure the 4 bolts that hold the rails to the tent are tight.

Lol you noticed I let that disappeared off my list... They're sitting next to my dads rusty bars. I'll bring em all down to the powdercoater some time this winter

Me and at least a few others have them. I use mine before bed and before I get up in the morning. I don't run it all night. I probably could but the gf won't let me.

That's really all you need. Makes that transition from sleep to wake a bunch easier.
