2017 TRD PRO, who's waiting?

I agree, except the Toyota FAQ still lists the available colors for the Pro from the 2015 model. I saw that video the other day and got very excited but who knows...

 

Well again- be practical.
If people are waiting 2-3 months for allocations, they're 1) still allocating, not taking special orders 2) haven't opened up any production flood gates.

Again, they only have about 6 more months of production then they'll be gearing up for 18... so there's pretty much no way what he asserts can happen.

 

....AND the '18 will have 10speed auto, JBL, sunroof and limited run with an amazing new color ...let the "who's waiting" begin again!

 

You know it's funny - I thought about that since I'm not buying until spring or summer, then I remembered that we are still only in "gen 3". Does anyone have any reason to believe Toyota would not wait another 5-10 years to release the next full update? That seems to be their MO with these trucks.

 

I don't think they will wait 10 years. I predict a facelift in about 3 years due to Nissan and Ford. I would also prefer the sunroof option to be an exclusive option on the trim levels that have them available and not tied to the tech package.

 

I put in a deposit to get my vehicle ordered which is supposed to arriving in 3-4months. We have already agreed to a set price which was a pretty good deal imo. Is there a chance that they might change it when it gets here?

 

If they're a piece of shit dealer maybe, but if you have the price set in writing then I wouldn't worry.

Always get prices written down.

 

There's a chance they'll:
- never get the allocation
- sell it to a higher paying buyer before it lands

It's not the automatics that people are waiting for (or if they are... why?) It's the manual one that's hard to find hence the ordering

 

Either way they are not in large supply. Sure the manual is bad ass....Had a SC 6 speed Baja. Not everyone want's a manual. I went with the auto for other reasons other then being very rare. Been there done that.

 

Got some good news today. My AT cement pro is currently being built. My dealership told me that first week of Jan at the latest I'll be able to pick it up. January 10 would make 14 weeks since I ordered so hopefully by then I'll have it

How long did it take for them to get you an update after depositing money? I just deposited about two weeks ago hoping I hear something back soon since they said it was gonna be about 3-4 months before I get mines in.

 

There is a white TRD PRO manual, sitting at 802 Toyota in Vermont, my friend is a tech there, the truck has been there for a few weeks still unsold if anyone is in that area

 

I'm having my 15k service done at Superior Toyota in Erie PA right now and they have 2 PROs sitting on the lot. A 6mt in red and an auto in white. 42k and 44k respectively. I have no clue what these trucks are selling for. Apparently someone stole the wheels off the white one at 3am this morning lol.

 

Wow that's a damn eyesore.

To be honest I didn't get anything from them for about 9 weeks when I was told I was next in line to get a cement AT. Then today which is exactly 11 weeks since I ordered. I was told that it's currently being built that it will be 3 weeks max till I recieve delivery. Going in tueday to finalize my financing and get my vin so I can do my insurance stuff. They told me once it's in transit that I can get updated as to where it is as for now all I know is that it's being built.

 

Great security @ that dealer.....Surprised the posers didn't strip more.......
