Working in the mining industry for several years one thing is common knowledge. Wet roads means tire failure is imminent. Moisture on rubber makes it cut remarkably easy. This is the reason we shutdown haulage operations during wet weather. At 60 grand a tire it adds up faster than the lost production. So it makes perfect sense to me that your tire got cut on a snowy gravel road. Take your lumps and watch your road conditions.

never thought about that "wet rubber softening" factor, i just was thinking that a wet = less friction against rough/sharp surfaces

Sorry OP that is a big bummer to have happen.
Usually it is all the crap that falls off our rusted vehicles from the stupid brine and dump trucks with no tarps.
I've gotten a couple of instant flats on a few of our Vermont roads. Not sure about the wet softening rubber factor.
My winter tires have softer compound so they stay that way in Cold temps. Better grippy. I hope it doesn't cut easier

For the record I did not say anything about "softening".
Moisture acts as a lubricant and simply allows sharp objects to cut the rubber easier.

Stock OR tires blow, quite a few here who have had them pop. Time for an upgrade!

The whole truck Is garbage, I plan on selling or trading, went to ford dealership to trade they ask me if the transmission issue was taking care of. I left knowing they are not on my end. Why do a lot of people defend Toyota? Buy a new jack, tires, gears, transmission, lift, shit buy a whole different truck that what I will be doing soon.

Having a brand new tire go down just sucks no matter what the circumstances are. First day driving to work in my 09, I took a turn to wide, avoiding some one pulled out a little too far, and sliced my rear tire wide open on the corner of some newly installed granite curbing. I was pissed, but thankful everything was new and easy to work with.

Stock tires are for mpg numbers only.

Agreed, most will tell you if your gonna take the truck off road something that's 8-10 ply to air down but also have some strength to it, of course you'll lose 1-2mpg due to the weight. A lot of mall crawlers run them and don't use them in that case stick with the stockers.

People may take your bashing of Toyota more seriously if you learned proper spelling and grammar. Your rant was one long run on sentence.

Im hoping to get my value out of OEMs too. As much as i would like to go buy some Ko2s, i just bought a 40k truck and some other accessories along with it, so im gonna TRY to hold off for now. Yes i do plan on getting beefier/OR tires eventually.
