It's under the drivers seat. That picture is where the amp sits. I took the seats out to easier run the wires.

I see you have RCAs going into your amp... Do you have an aftermarket head unit or do are you using a line converter?

I haven't done alot of audio work. Is a line converter pretty much plug in play with the head unit?

not normally. they might make a harness now but you would still need to connect/solder the speaker wires to the LOC. also run power, ground, and turn on to it

I have 2-12 inch subwoofers in the back of my first gen extended cab :D not much room back there but enough for a bookbag.

But i usually run 1-12 inch and I'm currently borrowing my brothers 2-12s. I'll go back to the 1 when i need more space.

Yeah lc7i under the passenger seat.

No soldering needed to connect the unit. I did solder the connections in the metra head unit harness and speedwire though. Speedwire run the head unit to the lc7i. RCA out to the amp. Not that difficult just a pain to run all the wiring.

Got everything ordered and will be doing the install this weekend again I would like to say thanks for info man.

I'm eyeballing those Kicker tweeter replacements....the Subaru ones that are direct fit for 3rd gen Tacoma's. Looks very easy to install and tweeter reviews have been positive.

Would like to do some door speakers down the road but I don't really want to mess with another amp in the cab and I think head unit will under power just about every aftermarket option though. :-(

Sweet! I've heard the factory head unit sucks pushing better speakers. Can't say myself though.

You got the harness and it's all set for you to upgrade the rest.

I'm glad I did it all in one go. Sooooo much better

Where did you mount yours? I have one leftover from last car and was thinking about mounting behind back seat but may be easier to just put under passenger seat.
