Last 2 months we have done over 75k just in labor, so we are a very busy shop. Sometimes have to be in early and stay til late..

 

Yeah at about 30. I felt it once or twice. It's not consistant. Guess I need to order the parts. Which ones did you go with?

 

Ecgs, is there another? I may end up just ordering a clamshell and 3rd member from them with it already installed.

Yeah, but to get gears and set up correctly, swap them in and be done.

 

There's no gears involved with he needle bearing fix.....

 

No, but I need gears. Two birds, one stone. lol

 

I have the bushing in my truck. Fairly simple job assuming you have all the tools and don't have to make multiple trips to the parts store. I ended up renting a slide hammer to get the axle out. Once that's out, removing the needle bearing is simple if you get the ecgs removal tool. New one goes in easy as well.

 

So the Ecgs removal tool is essential?

 

All the write ups and what not i see, they all use it.

 

Did a couple things today, got rid of the chrome grill. Paint is close enough for now.

And this wheel was the worst from hardrock although all 4 took some hits.
A little touch up and viola'

All better. Tuck is back to normal. Now to get to painting my sliders

Croom was fun. Feeling my driveshaft churn the sand at the top of that hill made me a little nervous though. Gotta save my pennies for a lift...

 

Busy weekend, at least I got my truck back to normal. Painted the chrome off my grill. Welds look pretty good for it only really being my 2nd time welding. And it was with flux. Once I clean off the flux and the splatter I think it'll look pretty good A bit of booger but not to shabby

We should set up a little ride over the christmas / new year holiday. Maybe ocala or citrus

 

My brother is a welding instructor in the military and is staying with me for the holidays. He brought one of his welders, a Lincoln 140hd to show me the ropes. Didn't bring a tank so we were welding flux core also. These was after about an hour on the machine. Did some vertical joints, butt joints,and some T joints. Came out better than I thought. Makes me want to buy a welder. Haha.
