Oh man...my thoughts and prayers go out to all involved.

@Captain Taco is doing as good as someone can for any person involved in that kind of carnage.

We've been speaking with him through Facebook on the PDCExpedition group page.

I'm sure he will sign in when he's feeling better and give everyone an update.

Our biggest concern right now is that he is actually considering another vehicle besides a Tacoma.......

 

Hey all! Appreciate the concern and wishes. I have knee and wrist bones that are bruised and a swollen eye. Whiplash on the neck and back.
Besides that I'm good physically. . I can walk and that's what matters to me!!! Mentally I'm kinda fucked up. Wasnt expecting to see that last night.
However I'm still here and alive and for that i thank god.
I can't say how lucky I am right now. And pray that the wrong way drivers family can get peace. I don't understand what caused her to do this. But I know it can't be easy for her family. I also pray the other two guys from the Mazda are ok. They where very badly injured and went straight to the hospital.

My truck still needs to be looked at by an adjuster. No clue what's going to happen but I can almost guarantee it's a total...
not really focusing on what my next vehicle will be right now. I'm leaving for a month for work offshore so I will make the purchase when I get back.
It will either be a Tacoma or a 4Runner. Still considering the two. And will be for the month I am gone. Please send me info if any of you currently have or have owned 4runners and their pro and cons.

The physical stuff is easy to deal with, the mental stuff can take some work. From my own experiences, I can honestly say that it doesn't help in the long run to bottle everything up. It does help to talk to someone, even if they just say suck it up buttercup.

 

I read reports of her driving over 100 mph. How fast do they believe she hit you?

 

I'm at the point bro. I hate to admit that but I am going to have to talk to someone here shortly.

In all honesty I believe she hit me at 100mph. From where I was at it seems like she didn't try to swerve out of the way or anything. And she came at me so fast it gave me almost no time to react.

 

Talking to someone helps so much. And it's nothing you should feel ashamed about doing. It does not make you less of a man, it is not a sign of weakness; in fact it only makes you stronger and more respected.

 

If you choose to man, don't feel bad or hate the idea. It helps to just talk to anyone. It's done wonders for me.

If it's a totaled claim then I plan on buying it back and parting everything out. Thought about doing a part out party ;-)

 

lol I showed him your pics and asked if insurance would cover everything on the truck. I told him that you could get a little on top of what insurance would pay out if your parted out your rig.

Btw dibs on your bed mat if you have one
