    Here's a tribute to the recently deceased Leonard Cohen. Crank it up on some good speakers. They are pretty awesome. Check out their other stuff too. They have a Christmas CD also.

    I'm thinking he may be a castrado. :eek: That wasn't falsetto either that I could tell.

    Caught these two, apologies for any I may have missed. Damn you are a chatty bunch.

    I don't think this injury has much in common with reconstructive surgery other than having to immobilize the arm for a while. Yep it's my dominant arm too, naturally that's the side I 'tuck and roll' on, only this time I didn't quite tuck far enough I guess. The click in my case is up high, right across the top of the shoulder. That's where the two bones are no longer connected so it could be them banging into one another, or I guess it could be one of them rubbing against something else because they're in a new location now. It still clicks/clunks but in general it hurts less every day, and I'm able to lift with that side now too. Sounds like progress.

    Sorry then no idea what you might be in for , mine was tendons tightened , labrum stitch , torn muscle repair, they left the rotator cuff alone other then a trim here and there. I can tell you when I tore up my ankle the DR many years later who had to rebuild looked at the original stuff etc and stated you would have been better off breaking it then so even what may appear as nothing later in life lol can haunt you. I think others here have heard the same for other joint injuries too. I will not umm say just follow your Dr instructions and pt stuff lol as I sort of umm well mostly am following mine but I can tell you . YOU WILL PAY FOR IT IN THE END IF YOU DON"T AND DON"T TAKE CARE OF IT NOW:}

    I was digging it until close to the end when they seemed to all be trying to outdo one another. Still, fabulous harmony and great voices. Even the guy up high.

    Yep I've heard that several times. Guess I'd better make that appointment with a 3rd surgeon. I just hate the thought of not having use of the arm for months.

    Good morning it is up to zero today! Not below zero is a wonderful thing, -16 windchill but supposed to hit 20 above zero later today. Not a bad way to a week on Monday.
    I had the reconstructive surgery done on my left shoulder years ago, by Uncle Sam. They did a Modified Bristal procedure basically cut and pull everything and stick a huge screw in it. Good friend of mine back in NC is an Orthopedic Surgeon and a very good one at that. Showed me in one of his books that procedure has not been recommended due to complications later in life. That part was written in the 1930's. And might add they were correct but kind of stuck with it now LOL.

    Some of what I've seen today for joint injuries is nothing short of amazing to me. Mine started off like yours and progressed working in the steam plant of ships swing sledge hammer, wrenching on large bolts, rigging large pump casings, etc. Sounds like yours is getting better and hope it does and does not require surgery. However at least in my case it was a downhill progression and wish they would have operated sooner, even if it was a primitive solution.

    Morning everyone. well here it is Monday and I am feeling almost 100%, figures. got a guy out and everyone is placing service calls, another busy week. Of course going out sick for 2 days was not good last week, I will pay for that today.

    Just thought I would put this out there again.
    Mom is 91 and would be very active but an ankle she didn't take care of at our age, is now arthritic and can't be fixed. she is miserable when she has to walk (she has used a walker for years, now). It taught me a lesson about taking care of these things now.
    I already have had one surgery on my ankle, to shorten ligaments, and then, like the idiot I am, I have injured it 3 more times and undone most of the good doctors work.

    Still, compared to what some of you go through, I am glad that is my only issue.
