I'd go for it, the CORE model is pretty cool.

Thanks for the advice fellas. I already have a G27 for edc/truck, but it'd be nice to have a dedicated nightstand gun. Especially since it is .40 as well.

I just sent him an email asking about round count/condition/paperwork/etc.

I'll let yall know what I end up doing...

The only reason to get a core is if you're going to run a mini red dot imo.

But firearms hold their value better and are easier to sell than a kayak so in the end if you don't wind up liking it you can always sell it/trade it for a sub

That's kinda what I was thinking about holding it's value more than the kayak.

Supposedly 200'ish rounds down the pipe. All factory manuals, extra grips, box, optics mounting plates are included as well.

Sounds like a pretty good trade... Think I'll take him up on it.

New bolt knob installed on the ruger tonight. This little plinker has actually turned into one of my favorite rifles to shoot. Don't mind the messy table. My nephew had quite the time at dinner

Where did you get that knob? I have a Ruger American compact .243 that I plan to use more as a target rifle that something like that would be superb on.

Glades Armory. Installation took about 5 mins it includes a little tool and all you need are snap ring pliers. It actually comes as a whole new replacement bolt handle and knob, the knob threads on so it's replaceable if you wanna try a different design later

Fortunately or unfortunately, those are one of those gray area conditions. Although it has something that appears to be a tailstock, since it's a blade, it is still not considered shoulderable. So as long as you don't put it to your shoulder it is still in the pistol class even with the blade style tailstock, just like the A.R. pistols

    Nope

It has a foregrip too...not a gray area

Read the nfa disclaimer on their website

Good grief - they make both, guys. There is an SBR model and a Pistol Brace non-NFA model.

I swear, people will argue over anything on the internet!

Here is what I am hoping will pass....

    Introduced in House (10/22/2015)

    Hearing Protection Act of 2015

This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to: (1) eliminate the $200 transfer tax on firearm silencers, and (2) treat any person who acquires or possesses a firearm silencer as meeting any registration or licensing requirements of the National Firearms Act with respect to such silencer. Any person who pays a tax on a silencer after October 22, 2015 may receive a refund of such tax.

The bill amends the federal criminal code to preempt state or local laws that tax or regulate firearm silencers.
