Going to try and find a dealer to do it. Just a little nervous they won't do it because of it not being a TRD supercharger. I know a few guys haven't had any problems from certain dealers here in California. We'll see what the local one says.

I'll give it more time. Hopefully the flash will help and the ecu will learn the new settings.

I had mine done at the Vallejo Toyota dealer. Installed the S/C & flashed it. They were great, super cool super knowledgeable.

Makes sense, the stage 2 si (this one) has been a crowd favorite on xru for years, n/a and force fed.

3yrs force fed with it here, and no issue from it.....n/a it was loud as crap and annoying but no mechanical issues.

I was told it would be noisy but I don't hear it at all. Maybe the supercharger whine masks the noise. :notsure:

N/a its noisey.... it resonates so loud under the hood, that it sounds like its in ur damn glove box. Freeway onramps, and passing people on 2 lane roads is stupid loud, u cannot converse without yelling while doing such.

After the blower..... ur right, all u hear is the whine.
The difference is night and day.

It is very stout and works well. I have not had any issues with it other than one time after emptying it, a couple days later I heard a rattling under heavy acceleration. It turned out to be I didn't tighten it enough when putting back on and it was rattling down the threads. Luckily there are a LOT of threads on it so it would have had to go a long way to end up falling off. I like the first gen one. The remake of the W1 didn't look as well made. They arent cheap, but worth the money.

If you would have had it while NA, you would have noticed. @inwood customs hit the nail on the head.

Would you mind snapping a pic of how you routed the hoses? I would be interested in moving mine. How long have you had it there? Any issues with the lines filling up/clogging?
Where mine is now, the intake hose has a very tight drop down, followed by an upward curve. I am afraid that it will be a pooling point for the oil after the truck is parked and may eventually clog up.

@tacomavoyager I'm one of the ones who has not had issues with the BD tune - no codes, AFR looks good. I still think it is a matter of clearing learned settings in the ECU after installing the tune. If you haven't done that after cleaning your MAF that could be the cause of your troubles.

Again - Not a big fan of the BD tuner - it's a piece of junk. But the tuning file itself (at least the 3.0 "stock file) is fine if you clear the ECU and let it relearn fuel trim, etc. JMO.
