I have been looking at many different trucks from mid to full size and have come to really like the Tacoma. I like the reliability, resale value, and ultimately that I can get a 6 speed manual.

My question is, I really want the Limited with all the goodies and a manual but it doesnt look like it is offered like that. Do I have to go down to the Sport? I dont want to pay $7k extra for the Pro.

I would get a short bed TRD off road manual and then pickup some clazzio custom seat covers and throw a nice suspension lift and tire wheel combo

To be honest, I hate the look of the black fender flares and my time off road will probably limited to when I pull to the shoulder of the highway to find my sunglasses. I also tend to like the fake hood scoop on fhe Sport.

Get the Sport with P&T package then pretty much all you are missing is the leather seats, which in my opinion are a bad color combo with most of the exterior colors.

everyone here mostly hates the sport but i love mine. i almost ruled the tacoma out after driving an AT OR becuase it was the only one on the lot. found the truck i was really after and it impressed me in every way over the truck i test drove. find what you like and go with it, promise you wont regret getting the 6 speed manual. favorite part about the truck

Be sure you cross shop the Ridgeline.

    Lots more plush.

If the bells and whistles is what you're after, I have to admit the Tacoma isn't really geared towards that. If that means the most to you, I'd heavily consider another brand, especially since you aren't doing any offroading.

If you are set on the manual transmission then, well, you're kind of stuck with the Taco

I don't have my own Taco yet, but like you I've done a ton of research on a bunch of different truck options and I also came to like the Tacoma the most of all of them (for mostly the same reasons you listed). I've also been here reading for a couple months and this lovable group of misfits helped me decide that I will buy a Pro next spring. For what you are looking for, you might be totally happy with the Sport and add the JBL/ tech package. Compared to the Limited you will gain a hood scoop, a "sport tuned" suspension and lose the leather seats. But look up some of the threads with photos of people who have purchased Clazzio or Katzkin leather seat covers. They look really sharp.

Depends on what you want the truck for. Be honest with yourself, if it's primarily going to be on pavement and little to no off-roading then the Sport and Limited will probably be more comfy. If you're looking to off-road then the OR unless you plan to heavily mod it then I'd probably get a SR5. You can add leather as a cover or full install to any of them. Between the Sport and OR, I prefer the Sport because of the aesthetics and better pavement ride.
