    Yea I guess. I'm not a huge fan of diesel to begin with and putting in one that small doesn't seem worth it to me. But is different.

    When you say "swap axles', you are really referring to third member, both axles and the entire asle housing, a hub to hub setup. But no other mods would be required right? Spring purches, shock mount plates, brake line and BPV mounts are all in the same places right?

    Where did you learn about the harrop locker? Was it on here?

    Yes the full axle. Mounting of the third member is different. Axle is actually different too as you learned all e lockers have ABS where as the 8.4s don't always.

    No modification is need to swap the axles though. Other then the potential different e brake setup but that doesn't really need anything.

    I first read about it here a year or so ago. Didn't think anything of it. Then it popped up on Expo recently.

    It looks interesting and has some nice features. Locks instantly like an ARB. And i like how if you roll back it disengages briefly so you won't break anything. as seen here:

    I can't get over the cost though. Nearly $1400 for just one.

    I could get F/R Arbs for Igor and a Front ARB for Frank for the price of two of the Harrops.

    When I asked why it was so much more expensive, their response was its about the same as an ARB after you take into account the install price and OBA. Which i pointed out was not true for some one DIY the install and if you do a simple CO2 setup like Gage and I run its cheap to get air to the lockers. Why was this so much better?

    They just said different strokes for different folks at that point...

    Looks nice. But damn, way to much money. But no air lines or seals to break or leak. Idk if its worth the cost though.

    Sorry for the shit photos. Dark now. I'll get better ones tomorrow if you want. Basically my bars harness has a big connector which ends up right there in fender. I have it zip tied to that small shelf poking out.

    Was the perfect length to run all the way down the door seal.

    Flickers? Like a steady rhythmic flicker or are the intervals totally random?

    Do the flickers change in intensity or pattern with engine RPM? Does it flicker with the engine off?

    Uhh idk. Not sure there is an elocker replacment from them. As the OEM e locker is not shimmed. The 8.4 is though..

    The site I linked to is then not dealer in the states. And they don't list one for the OEM e locker diff.

    You've got a bad connection somewhere. Most likely ground.

    Or it's just that shitty

    And wait till it's real dark. Get your night vision adjusted and then turn it on and be prepared to be blinded by hood glare

    Applied for 5 more positions today. A forestry position, full time (locations: Alaska, Arizona and New Mexico). Then a few fish tech positions with game and fish...shooting for laramie. I have worked with the guy here a few times with the toad so hoping I can secure that position easy.

    In the past I was told game and fish stops accepting applications late January and I receive a call mid February.

    I was told Federal jobs have a hiring push for early January but they can still take months.

    I am not incorrect.

    All e lockers have abs axles. But that doesn't mean the truck itself has abs. But every e locker has the abs innards.

    You have spots to bolt the abs sensor on the top of the housing, abs tone rings, and the bearings and retainers are in a different spot.

    I don't see why you couldn't use a 8.4 axle that was from a truck with ABS or without it.

    If it did have ABS, swap over the little plugs that cover the holes where the sensor went.
