Will this work in the factory GoPro mount on windshield?

Yes. Amongst all the various bits in the box is a frame to use without the waterproof case which has a 1/4-20 socket on top and bottom. Also included is the clip to click into the 3rd gen windshield go pro mount, and the in-between bit.

I'm uploading a segment taken during lunchtime errands shot with this camera on the go pro mount of my truck, will post a link once done.

All that said, this has a removable battery not a capacitor, so its longevity sitting all day every day in hot summer sunshine is probably going to reveal why it's $40 and dash cams built for hot conditions are $100-300 or more. Still, it's a $40 go pro knockoff and IMHO well worth playing around with for whatever you want to mess with it for.

Thanks gpb for the link and code - I ordered mine. It wont' be here until end of month, but that's fine. I figured if I purchase this and it works for months then dies and I have to buy another at regular price i'm still better off than dropping serious moola on the real thing

First post updated with a link to a sample video. Straight off the microSD card in the camera (I use a PNY brand); 300MB file covers three minutes. Camera was mounted on my truck windshield on an overcast day.

In full disclosure -- while I would be happy with this as a dashcam, my wife was not thrilled at having it on the windshield while she rode with me the other day. Also wanting parking-mode and rear-camera capability, I did splash out on a Thinkware F770 which tucks to the left of the mirror mount and is sufficiently out of the way as to restore peace.

I still have lots of stuff I'll use this one for of course. Time lapse stuff and other things where I don't want to risk an expensive camera.

Didn't have this exact 'brand'. But my friends and I pitched in and got one for kayaking. GREAT for what it was. Couldn't pick up audio too well with the waterproof case on it, but we took it off and it was awesome. Great quality for the price.
Down side, only lasted about 4 or 5 months and then the charge port caved into the housing. Inexpensive enough to not care that it broke and attempt to take apart and fix. We'll buy another in the spring!

Would 100% buy another knock-off GoPro. I don't believe all the hype behind these new fad companies...
