    True, but he is already opposed to lifting a truck too cause my brother has a Fabtech Coilover set up on his truck and it rides like crap.

    in my experience most coilover systems do ride like crap but your just getting new shocks dont tell him that it will lift it

    This is sometimes a harder lesson for young people to learn, but the vehicle is both your father's and yours. The law doesn't care who paid what. If his name is on the title, he has as much right to the vehicle as you do.

    I would ask nicely and hope for the best. They may have paid a small portion of the vehicle, but they *have* paid for the vast majority of your existence to this point in life, which does carry some clout.
