Cool, we came upon a hand written note about the washout and didn't know what to expect when we got there, but made it no problem.

We did all of that prior to RT, the weekend before.

 

This was at the north entrance. Before you get to Hans flat. It's a big Y in the road and if you turn left you go to green river and right to Hans flat.

Was pretty cool to see.

Ah nice.

Yea wasn't even a hint of it. Whole road was pretty nice up to the dirty devil. We had read about it but never saw it and thouht it was odd until the Rangers told us.

 

What I recall is, it wasn't a washout on Poisen Springs that was repaired right before we went through. It was a giant boulder that had to be moved. The ranger told us the county had to bring in some heavy equipment to do it. I got the impression it was in that canyon area where it is barely wider that the creek at the bottom (way before the dirty devil river) where the trail is the creek but also crosses it ~20-30 times.

It might be the same thing you guys are referring to but it was not described as a washout, more as a blockage where no one could pass.

 

Not only did Igor rip off both rear rubber pieces, but he also managed to later lose at least one of the mount brackets to.

 

OK, I remember that section too. If you didn't see the washout that I posted above, they must have fixed that up as well. This one was in the section on the side of the hill in the wide open area that looked mostly like this, would have been after you went through the river the way you guys went.



Here is another view of the washout, coming back out of it.

 

Yeah, I don't remember a washout like you describe. But we never saw the big boulder that the rangers referred to either and can only guess where the blockage might have been.

 

I took a picture of this note, never confirmed if the coordinates were accurate.
