I fired my JB Flash up on Mt. Whitney at 14,500' to boil some chicken bouillon. Took 3 or 4 clicks but lit right up. Maybe my piezo gap is just right? :notsure:

Hilleberg makes great 4 season tents. So does Black Diamond.

Took a little 7 mile hike today on the Lone Star Hiking Trail. My daypack doesn't have a hydration bladder, but I was able to use my new Blue Desert SmarTube with a 2 liter SmartWater bottle. Works great. Thanks for the suggestion, Seabass.

I love that SmarTube. No more hydration bladders for me. Also, if you cut the mouthpiece slit a little wider, water flows out faster so you can drink at a normal pace. That helped me.

I ordered the Cat's Meow and though it's a really nice bag, I'm going to be returning it for the Nemo spoon type bags. I'm a side sleeper and my legs feel to constrained in the Cat's Meow. I do have to say, it's pretty comfortable despite my complaint mentioned above.

She briefly points out the 15 elite and shows it to you in the video among all the other elite bags

Correction: they're coming out spring of '17 not summer as I posted above

My brother found this charcoal briquette powered/bed warmer thing at a second hand store. Looking for any info on it, haven't been too lucky with my google use tonight.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
    State park or national park?

I'm heading out to the state park next week. Temps for us look to be 40-70.

It's some variation of one of these solid fuel heaters. It's not exactly charcoal (well not the grill type anyways) but similar. Most current versions use a stick shaped solid fuel.

National Park. I told her don't base it on the temps we are getting here now (low of 16° here in DFW this morning!) but you know. The weather is very moody down there.

    Nice!

Yeah, I love camping along Old Ore Road in the NP. Black Gap is good too, since they have bear boxes out there for you to stash stuff in.

La Luz is always a very popular one and is pretty with the snow. Embudito trail is a nice one too. Can go over to the petroglyphs and hike around there as well; its pretty awesome!

Also, do not leave anything in your truck while you are here. It will be stolen before you can spell Albuquerque
