Removal of badges

What is the easiest way to remove the badges from my truck? I want to take them off and paint them black. Also what about the Toyota badge on the front grill? Thanks..

 

I was thinking a hair dryer. Thanks for the info

 

i just used fishing line came right off

 

i just did this yesterday.....fishingline and hairdryer, make sure you put painters tape where the badges where so they go back on straight

 

the glue re-adheres to the truck good? has anybody had any issues with it peeling back off?

 

go buy some 3m double sided tape to put it back on

 

let us know how you get the paint to stick to those shiney decals

 

Just use some auto primer then finish it off with the final color and you will be golden!! I did about 3 coats of each over a year ago and they still look great!!!

I didn't use a hairdryer or heat gun, but I removed mine back in the summer.

 

the "easiest" way is a chainsaw. but fishing line and a hair dryer do the trick.

You can also search around for other threads. Good luck, mine was a complete PITA to do, but I love the black badge look better than chrome/shiny.
