    CNC4x4 is a club ( jeeps mostly, but there is no accounting for taste or self abuse:crapstorm:, i had no shame in driving my junk around them when they broke)

    NC4x4 is a web forum. (little bit of everything, but mostly Jeep lemmings :luvya:)

    they are not one and the same, though many are members of, or have been members of both. (i was a charter member of CNC when it was formed in 1998-2004) and also an early and current NC4x4 member, originally conceived as an NC TTORA board that the then owner split away from and renamed NC4x4, currently under its third owner and doing well.

    both clubs and forums have their place, currently i'm more interested in the forums (TW , NC4x4, Pirate4x4 are my most frequented) they're more active and have more to offer. Sometimes just for the obscure entertainment that seems to happen at random times.

    there is a lot to being an actual "club". if there is any sort of money involved, that brings a tax liability with it. non profit or not.

    ( don't read anything into this other than basic info, I'm a nobody and prefer to stay that way )

    Thats why I delt with it today in the crappy weather, more rain coming. there is a huge pump that keeps it at bay (its a natural spring) if it broke it will fill where i was. the swap went smooth and quick. took longer dealing with setting up for working in the soft sand. The homemade cable slidehammer worked great. Anyone wheeling with IFS should keep this kit in there truck, takes no room and about $15 in parts. really really useful with aftermarket skids were cant good leverage to the axle to clamshell
