I got my 2016 sr with 4 runner rims. The same case, I think it was a take off and the dealer installed them on my truck maybe to make it look better.. indeed! For now my truck is the only one that I've seen with 4Runner sr5 rims.

On a '17 SR5 the Dark Satin Alloy Wheels are a no cost option - code AA. Ordered them on my White DblCab

Mine has the silver alloy wheels also. I like them better than the steel wheels. And I would not of bought a $25K truck with steel wheels on it either.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Mine is on order -- should be in mid to late January. I went in and spoke to my dealer's sales mgr. they are going to try to ensure I get the dark satin wheels on my Blue Taco that is on order. The people at this dealer did not have a clue about this possibility!
This must be one of the best kept secrets Toyota has? They show both wheels in the Toyota brochures --but on their website no mention about a choice --or on anyone elses' web build sites.
Toyota SUCKS on their build website, as again they give no option or way to build your SR5 with ONLY the tow package. It was this way a couple of weeks ago and then changed it back so you could build it this way, and when I went out and checked on this wheel thing (no mention of that) I noticed they are not letting one build a SR5 with only tow, once again. COME ON TOYOTA WEBGUYS -- THIS SUCKS!!
This highly smells like they are trying to force people into buying the NAV stuff, as that is what they have the tow package tied in with

    None,
I also have a new 2017 SR that came standard with the DARK SATIN WHEELS, that was the main deciding factor on me factory ordering my truck.
I had the dealer remove the factory tires and upgrade & up size them to 265-70 R16 BF Goodrich Rugged terrain, they also add the Toyota hard tri-fold tonneau cover and tinted the windows.

Are you sure that your red truck did not have the "appearance package"? I thought that all SR's came with the basic steel wheels, that is unless the extras package was added to the truck.
Update -- I went and tried to build one like yours -- did not see what I said above?? I still think their build site is slanted to Toyota trying to push you into something or some configuration you did not intend to buy!!??
Either that is true or they have an excess supply of those wheels?
Of course I am new to all of this with Toyota--Now -- Subaru --that's another story. I know what they have to offer!
Nice looking truck --no matter what!!

    In Canada
The only option's with the SR Package is>< Automatic 2 wheel drive. Manuel 4 wheel drive. ACCESS CAB ONLY.
Also did you notice the colour matched fender flares?

Oh yeah!! -- I did think something was amiss as compared to the USA version, but I just thought you may have modified it already.
What other goodies did you get as opposed to the USA SR?
What kept me from a SR was to add the stuff I needed (for wife to be happy driving it), I might as well get a SR5.
Next time I will try and look where the poster is from.
I wonder why they (manufacturers) change so many things offered to our two countries? Here all this time I thought you "Canucks" were a lot like us "Yanks"!?

Not sure you can use the TPMS from the steel wheels on the alloy wheels .. thought i read before they are different (the angle of them) but i could be wrong. Just double check

You can use them, but it is a compromise. They have to be "flipped" 180 degrees to make them fit. Then you have to be extra careful with the tire installation.

The other issue in Canada with the SR package is the limited colour choice, Red,Black,Grey and White.
