    That be the one. i used button head Allen head screws in varying lengths. I attached quite a bit to the rails that way.

    None under a soft top, shell, or toneau. They will rust so I sprayed mine with Eezoox before installing and even though they have been wet several times when my Softopper was off they still look good. Its been at least a year so its probably time for another spritz of basic maintenance.

    Thank you. Mine will be under the topper. But will be exposed regularly to moisture as I have to fill tanks that I haul with water daily. That guy stopped making the aluminum ones. So the ones you suggested are what I'm going with.

    Per this test it looks like WD40 Specialist or Frog Lube should provide longer term protection than the product I have been using.

    I doubt it but its easier and quicker :) And its impossible to paint the threaded interior so I just figure on doing five minutes of maintenance when I think about it.
