    I'm not. The elocker unit is integral to the carrier and the housing. The added effort to make it work wouldn't make sense for something that already has a locker.


    FWIW, my factory elocker has continued to work without flaws, and my truck has 268k on it. The only complaint is that it does not always lock/unlock instantly. I would find a solid actuator and run it for as long as it works before swapping axles. That being said, if I were to start all over again, I would buy a rig without an elocker in favor of F&R ARBs.

    They make several auto lockers for the elocker.

    Not sure that's a smart choice though.

    Hell if I ever get my axle swapped you can have franks old one. Just need a diff then.

    For what and where you drive, barely need a locker as it is. Id save your money and go with the arb if you feel the elocker is beyond repair. Which btw, what is wrong with it?

    In the mean time, being open/open might teach you how to pick a real line :p :luvya:

    No because most auto lockers are locked all the time you're on the gas. Not needed and also not great on the road.

    So what is failing exactly? What part?

    When you resemble it, use FIPG. May help keep shit out of the motor.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Last time he rebuilt one he greased the commutator bars on the motor. So perhaps a basic lesson of how a brushed motor works would be wise before attempting to rebuild one again.
